Agree 100%. V2H is not a gimmick. It hit 105 degrees in Houston today. Currently, there are 6,383 households without power and it is still 98 outside at 8pm! Luckily, my power has stayed on today, but tomorrow is going to be another scorcher. Being able to use the big battery pack of the...
I have never lived in NYC, but I have family up there. Houston is pronounced Howston. I believe there is also a Howston in Georgia. Interesting fact, it is pronounced Howstun because the last name was spelled Houstoun, but the extra u was dropped from the spelling for some reason.
The pups and cat in this video are soooo cute.
Serious question. What happens if something happens and the software malfunctions and climate turns off? Has anyone experience that in a Tesla?
I hate to think what will happen to the stock price if Rivian doesn’t hit the 25k goal. By sticking with building mainly R1Ts, I am optimistic that Rivian will exceed the 25k.
I want to give a shout out to @MNLightning for starting the VIN thread and to everyone who has been replying.
Sigh. My updated estimate is first half of 2023. As a consumer, I am disappointed. As a stockholder, I am happy to see that they are going to push out as many R1Ts as possible. I think it was always part of the plan to make as many R1Ts this year. Based on the VINs, it seems like they will...
Welcome to the forum! Good to see more Houstonians get their trucks. Houston members of the forum try to get together at the end of every quarter, so you are welcome to come and join us for the next meet up around the end of September. I hope by that time someone will have a R1S to show off.
We missed you! We will be planning another meet up next quarter. It will interesting to see if anyone gets/brings a R1S next time.
Have you received your updated R1S delivery estimate? I haven’t.
Good meet up today. Not the best pic as Kevin‘s Rivian blue is hidden. If anyone has a better pic, please feel free to post. See ya’ll next time. And thanks for the test drive @Dreamwater!
I also have trouble getting in the car. At 5’5, it is quite a challenge getting in the vehicle. Per CS, kneel mode is coming. I hope you stick with your Rivian until kneel mode comes and then you can decide whether to get the Lightning.
I checked with property management to get approval of meeting up this Saturday In the MKT Heights parking lot. I was told that we can meet up as long as we are customers, so I encourage everyone to please grab a coffee/tea at La La Land or whatever food/drink establishment you choose. See...
Haha. I may put up the heat shield and never have to use the rings to take it off. It is SO HOT here. I was just grateful that the video was only 8 minutes long.
Hey @SASSquatch
This owner made a video of him putting up his Heat Shield roof sun shade. They stick on the roof using suction cups. I am definitely going to get this.
There may be a name already…Jonny Lieberman with MotorTrend posted this in another forum. MAX POWER MODE.
THAT SAID, we had access to a special engineering menu where we could program our own drive modes!! I should have taken better notes, but we could dial up rear-wheel bias and traction...
It looks there is movement in Texas to determine how to use the infrastructure money to build charging stations across the state. I haven’t read the entire draft plan, but I did see that contracts are to be awarded January 2023...
I have circled in red where we will be in the parking lot. This part of the parking lot should be empty as this is office parking. I will try to be there early and will be in a silver Highlander. See y’all next Saturday the 25th!
FYI. Please feel free to share with others that may be...
I agree. I have a Heatshield shade for my Highlander and it works really well, which is something because it is HOT ? here in Texas. By the time I get my R1S, which looks like it will be next year, I hope that someone on the forum will have purchased the roof sun shade and provided feedback.
