I can't wait to get my R1S so I can beat 99.5% of all other cars before the onramp merges to one lane on the way up to the mountains in a fully loaded car.
I can't wait to get my R1T so I can tackle Moab and the like with my Tacoma driving buddies.
Curious how he was selected considering how few subscribers he has (no offence, it's a great channel deserving of more). But that said, it was a great video!
Well I figured out a way to somewhat solve my range dilemma of the R1S for longer trips. Added a R1T with the Max Pack for me since my wife will have the R1S. After watching all of the review videos over the past week, I couldn't help my self, had to have one for my self as well.
I'm sure this is all in the user manual of the car, but wouldn't be a bad idea to have it printed out and one stored in the frunk and one stored in the be back somewhere.
Agreed, at that rate of acceleration it's not only dangerous for the people around the car, but the whiplash it could create for an unsuspecting passenger could be serous.
I'm most definitely going to take a FEW laps on a track with this just to see how it does. Especially after what MT has been saying that it drives like a sports car. I'll be able to compare it to my BMW M2C. (I'll be sure to share a video when the time comes!)
Has the 3s 0-60mph been confirmed...
Totally agree with this! I could easily see someone new, or more likely a friend, wanting to "rev the engine" thinking that's possible and off they go.
The other thing that would be easy for any of the EVs to implement would be some sort of performance limitations by default when the GPS sees...
Looks like there is at least one camera in the area on the corner of the building to the north east of the turn. If it was pointing at the entrance of the parking lot it's next to, this would all be on "tape" somewhere. I'm sure they'll be getting a call from the NHTSA tomorrow.
Like everyone...
Thanks @Cactusone. I guess I'm order 14301, so at a minimum there are likely 6225 people in front of me. Do we know that the first order number is 1 or did they start a 100, 1000 or an arbitrary number?
Edit: Found the post here...
I so wanted to get the Rivian Blue after having an M3 in Laguna Seca Blue, but this will mainly be my Wife's car and she wanted white.
@Cactusone looks like it. Anyone found a way to figure out your actual number in line?
I'll have to pass that on to my sister-in-law who just got a Taycan a month ago. She has really been freaking out and has had two trips now where she got home with less than 10 miles of range left. I think it's adding the mindset of having charge that will take some getting used to.
@Trekkie
I'm totally there with you when it comes to going EV, and why I'm also going EV (and to help offset my time on the track in an ICE). I was just brainstorming ideas for those rare occasions.
That's actually a really great idea with using a campground for a somewhat quick charge.
Love the feedback and discussion.
Being and engineer and problem solver these are the things that I just think about. This was mostly in hypotheticals to see what others thought incase I was actually on to something, which it doesn't sound like.
@Zoidz
Trailers is where I do think there are...
