  1. Finally took delivery but might turn it back in

My guide assured me that if I returned it within the 7-day window because of these issues I could get back on the list for a different one. Will only know if that was accurate should I try to return it!
  2. Finally took delivery but might turn it back in

After waiting since 2020 for my R1S, I finally took delivery today of an R1S LE RB/BM/22 Brights. Naturally, having scoured these forums, I was prepared for all kinds of panel gaps and issues, all of which were present, although not as bad as my 2016 Tesla Model S. Immediately though a few...
  3. Latest VIN check R1S. What is the real production rate...

Got guide confirmation that my R1S Blue/BM/22 is assigned. I was excited until I saw the VIN which ends in 3866. Based upon what I've seen, this appears to be an early 2023 build and I'm worried that it is a rejected VIN that had issues which needed correcting. Should I decline it?
  4. Loan rates?

USSFCU is great and I highly recommend them. Membership application was a bit of a pain with their due diligence questions being a bit more invasive then I've ever had in opening up an account. But perhaps its because they are trying to be picky on who becomes a member. Regardless, I was just...
  5. Hot Florida garage…should I be concerned?

I too am in Tampa and am waiting for my Rivian R1S to arrive, but currently have an IPace that has had no issues whatsoever in my hot garage. I've never noticed any change in charging time or battery degradation.
  6. Delivery Estimate Updates Are Out! ⏱️ [as of Jan 31, 2022]

7/20 pre-order for LE R1S, BM, Blue, no underbody shield, 22" sport bright. Went from August 2022->Oct-Dec 2022->Feb-Mar 2023->"Processing estimate". Looking at the web code it looks like I'm moved to April-May 2023 but obviously that may or may not happen. I saw my exact configuration in the...
  7. For those who got R1S (or R1T) at original approximately $78k would you buy one for new price of approximately $93k?

Definitely would not buy the R1S at the new pricing. This will be my first really large car, coming from a Jaguar I-Pace CUV and previously a Tesla Model S. I loved and hated my S and was very happy to get the heck out of the uncomfortable ride into the Jaguar. But pretty soon I began to tire of...
  8. Rivian Customer Service: SiriusXM Radio will not be native part of the entertainment system

This is a great example of where Rivian is trying to copy Tesla - no XM, no AA, no Car Play. The head unit is expected to be better than one that has these features. Perhaps also an example of where their lack of experience in the Automotive manufacturing sector comes into play. Head units that...
