I understood what you meant - my point was that even if it is publicly owned company price can be very high.
The good example is nevi project - billions of tax $ went to 8 chargers for now (after 3.5 years) and they sell electricity for more than 0.50c per kwh.
As for Washington state - they...
Many of this would happen with free market forces as well.
As for public utilities - tell this many CA folks that pay 0.40c+ per kwh. It really depends.
Government is almost never a solution, it is a problem. The best think we can do is to minimize it as possible.
It is all about consumer demand.
All the things you mentioned are very possible just wishful thinking:
1. California may change its plans - 2035 is 10 years away.
2. The EU is in disarray because of the Russia/Ukraine war and has higher priorities right now
3. "Current Administration" is even...
Facts are a brutal thing: (from https://www.edmunds.com/electric-car/articles/how-many-electric-cars-in-us.html)
As you can see, there is a slowdown for EV's and ICE in 2024.
Plugins & Hybrids are doing better
So you can not blame manufacturers for slowing down as well. Tesla can not do...
Yep, I am waiting for MY refreshed version (no way I buy a car without seat ventilation in Texas). I looked at improvements in M3, and if they will do similar to MY, I am in.
Well it is closer to a mathematical puzzle about a running competition between the turtle and Rabit - every time the rabbit moves 1 yard, the turtle moves 1 inch and so on, so it seems Turtle will be always a bit ahead :)
Realistically, this money makes no difference. I do not think Rivian will...
Maybe, meanwhile, look at Ford/GM - they have some good EV products, but they loose billions of $ on them, and shareholders take the losses (look at Ford stock today).
I think many people will disagree with you.
1. EV sales as a whole number growing very slowly. This is a fact. We are still in the EV enthusiast part of the adoption curve. Less than 8% in USA:
And let's not talk about Elon's craziness - many people like him, and there is a lot to like about...
Hello,
I switched to 20", so selling my OEM 21s. 17k miles driven. Still have a usable thread left.
Comes with TPMS, center caps, and aero wheels (all OEM as came with the car). No repairs were done. $200 (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal)
I am based out of Austin, TX, so either pickup or I can...
I just went to discount tire, ordered MSW 72 wheels and Tires (in my case Goodyear Rivian Tires). All together with TPMS (that I bought from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09W81D636/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_7?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1) is about $2,400.
You can buy a stronger forged...
244 is before $20 discount (80$ discount for 4 tires). This does not include installation ($96 for 4) and insurance ($47 per tire).
So the tire-only price is $224 (before taxes, installation, etc.) after the discount
Same here. The problem I did not see was that they drive cam stopped working till I got into the settings. No alert was shown.
I did a soft reset and disable/enable drive cam and it is seems working fine now.
Guys, it is literally on the discount tire web page:
On my invoice: P275/60-20 BP GDY TERRITORY AT RIV 116
You may need to ask the rep for this tire as they are not on website (as MSW Type 52 wheels). But they can order them the same way as tire rack.
Guys, there is a promotion today and tomorrow only at discount tire - 80$ off for a new Rivian Goodyear Wrangler 20" tire. If you pair it with MSW 52, it will cost less than $2,300 out of the door in Texas (without TPMS cost). Basically the cost of 21" tires!
@cevans
But the TR supplied should work as well, right? No problem with them or I missed something?
BTW, I went to discount tire and they can order the same wheels as well. It is not on their website - you need to call or visit the store.
Also, there is a promotion today and tomorrow - 80$ off...
Yep, they even announced the availability date (that moved a few times). Anyway, this is a true end of 21" wheels/tires for Rivian. We stuck with only one overpriced tire.
