These forums have a lot of great people in them and I’m thankful for those people, but mixed into the community are some of the most impatient adult men I’ve ever encountered in my life lol. Relax buddy, we’re just buying trucks.
While you guys are choosing a lot of nice classics, I think I’ll at least bring us into the current millennium with this:
I suppose I’m probably one of the younger reservation holders on here though haha
While you’re correct about Virginia… I must point out that Flagstaff has never reached a 3 digit temperature. They get snow and even have a ski lift there. Flagstaff is no Phoenix ;)
I think I’ll take my R1T out to Sedona, AZ. They have a few good warmup trails to get a good feel for the handling. Then hopefully Rivian will have a waypoint charger up at the Grand Canyon and I can go there next.
They had a similar sized booth in 2019 and just had one R1T there, I assume it’ll be a similar setup. The Overland Expo site listed a contact email for the Rivian rep who is organizing the event. I won’t post his email here for privacy reasons, but if you don’t want to dig for it you can DM me...
Edit: Confirmed by Rivian, they will no longer be attending the Expo as they focus on production ramping.
Rivian is confirmed to be attending the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, AZ from 24-26 September 2021. I just bought tickets and was wondering if anyone else on the forums had plans to...
You keep saying “14yr old startup”, but Rivian is only 12yrs old and they only started focusing on EV’s in 2011. Then they didn’t announce the R1T/R1S until Dec 2017. So if we’re being honest, we haven’t really been “teased” for even 4 years. Patience.
Why does it have to be racism? Could it be more likely that China is run by an oppressive regime that actively operates religious internment camps with approximately 1.5 million Uyghur prisoners? And perhaps some people have a problem indirectly supporting that system?
Thanks for the support! Getting medically separated, so I'm excited to come home to AZ.
I'll probably wait until I'm closer to delivery, but I'd love to have a thread where we could set up off-road meetups. It would be fun to have a dedicated Rivian community in AZ that was down to have some...
Hey, I'm in Prescott and I reserved an R1T in April 2020. Got a launch edition in launch green with the forest edge interior. Got all the extras as well, including the camp kitchen. This is my first truck, so any suggestions on where to off-road would be awesome. Good to meet you guy!
