I noticed he said in the vid “available skid plates.”
Again making me wonder how many add ons you’re going to have to get the truck they are showing. We really need prices and option lists.
I wouldn’t call the unfinished though they do lack some polish. If you notice in vids when they show the tailgate he often has to help get it going to drop. It’s a near production prototype though. Overall the fit and finish appears quite good though we haven’t gotten to touch it.
Lol. Was just thinking that today. Not sure if there is one but there are drawers below the seats and center console. Though it’s not clear if those drawers are standard or not.
This is the tool from the site you quoted above. It’s a model x so a much smaller battery. It does not take into account the production co2.
A model x in my area gets 40+mpg equivalent. Actually a bit worse than a very efficient small conventional hybrid and a lot worse than a plug in hybrid...
Lol. This made me laugh. As I’ve said I keep bouncing. If I ignore the price this seems like a no brained car that I’d have for a looong time.
But paying 100k for a car... That’s less money going into retirement. Less money to put away for the kid’s school. Less money to go on trips and use...
I’m with ya. But someone buying a Benz or Jag. Lol. No. You don’t buy a status symbol and not expect status. You don’t pay for a the ritz and say I only need a bed and a bathroom. You don’t pay for first class and say I’m fine in coach.
It’s less about maintenance and more about warranty. These cars require next to no maintenance. But they are complex machines from a brand new company. They are probably gonna have their time in the shop.
So yeah. When someone cruising their 100k truck finds out the fancy 180 tailgate is...
I highly disagree that high end luxury brand buyers don’t want pampered. We are talking people who woulda buy Mercedes, Land Rover, Jag. This isn’t your Acura or Infiniti buyer. This price point is European luxury. I think most people driving their S Class aren’t going to change their own oil...
I flip flop back and forth with this thing. I was concerned about their longevity but their plans to build for other companies has eased that. My big concern now is the option packages.
Every car I have ever bought was fully loaded. The most expensive was 55k out the door.
Do I really want...
I will throw one wrench into this scenario. Firstly I think they should use Ford Service centers since they really have no other option to create a large network.
That said this is a car competing with Land Rover level prices. When you buy a high end car like this a LOT of what you’re paying...
Again. It just lies in the options. A fully loaded ram 1500 is about 70. You’ll obviously pay thousands less than that.
The fact is times are changing. You can get nearly every single luxury convenience on a cheap Kia. You can also pay a fortune for a Land Rover that is practically designed...
I’m with you to an extent. I agree they are priced high. The big question is what is included. If they are very well equipped and the battery pack increases are <10k per upgrade then I think they are priced high, but right for what you get.
Now if there are options that nickel and dime you for...
Interesting tid bits in this video about the 180 tailgate not being standard. Other options appear to include the headliner and bed lights.
What we are finding out is that show truck has many add ons that are not standard. Makes me very curious what exactly is included and what’s gonna...
I can’t say I’ve delved deeply into the tech but cameras are say to fool with optical illusions. The Tesla that plowed straight into a truck because the white side created a false horizon that tricked the camera probably wouldn’t have happened with LIDAR As it would have identified a solid...

Thought you'd like this. RJ coming out that they have plans to build non-consumer models for companies. Likely why they shunned GM. This is excellent news for those like myself...
