This is what got us in a Rivian. My wife watched it and finished it saying "I want one". I didn't watch it because I had just had a motorcycle accident and was still salty. It was a big deal for us that the first two Rivians made were put to this test
Yeah, it's weird that it doesn't work for some, but has been dead-on reliable for others (me). I'm actually resentful of my other car making me carry the keyfob when I use it - so I don't.
As for house keys... yeah, I use smart locks and the garage is my front door, so I haven't carried keys in...
@do_ob welcome to the forum and welcome to NOVA (although, if you're west of 15 or south of 234, you're under no obligation to claim NOVA/DMV as that also includes Maryland and we all want to avoid that affiliation!). I wanted to note that some of the roads here can mess with navigation at the...
I only use the fob for service or if I'm on vacation with extended family and someone might have to move the vehicle. Other than that, it's phone with a card in my wallet. I've had no problems with the phone. In fact, I've only ever been locked out when a rental/loaner decided to lock itself...
In the DMV area, @kanundrum recommended PTuning. I haven't used them yet (going to buy new tires like, next month), but I've spoken to them and they work with tirerack and their prices seem reasonable.
Well, since we're talking about horns... I did the @RealWheelsEV upgrade a while ago and the wife hates the sound. Has anyone replaced the horn that comes in the kit with anything else? Still looking for volume, but a change in tone would probably do it. I've been delaying doing something about...
There's a bit of a grain of salt needed here. I'm not inclined to get worked up about any website that regurgitates things said on a forum and calls it news...
Also, cybertruck owners are idiots. You know this.
My trips are largely small (one or two mandatory charging stops), so no cross-country epics here, but I tend to plan with a "two is one, one is none" mindset. As a result, I usually identify three charging sites for each "stop" the first is the closest and primary. If that is crowded or broken...
I’d really like to talk trash, but I saw the same thing and asked service at an appointment for other stuff… they moved the seat and pointed out that I am the problem.
you’re fine and this is what the forum is here for!
it does to me, although superchargers are a bit of a black box where “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”, IMO (which I find to have its advantages, but that’s a different discussion). If I was getting 73 kWh (or “kw”? I can never remember) at 55% SOC, I’d be looking to move charger...
they're paying for the loaner, right? I've mostly been out of the Gaithersburg SC and it's almost always been "loaners" that are rentals through Enterprise. The last time, they gave me an EV6 and (because it had a non-functioning horn) I was able to switch it out at the airport for an R1S. It...
