I just picked up my Gen 2 R1S today and am already having quite a few issues with it. One being a safety issue (hazard lights don’t turn on/button doesn’t work).
My main question is, for things present on delivery day, are they pretty good about getting you in and fixing it quickly...
Wassym is the nicest and most down-to-earth guy. He spent a lot of time just visiting with people and answering questions/listening.
I just love that a company is this dialed into their customers. I got the sense they truly care about and want our feedback, and they genuinely use it to improve...
Had a group chat with Wassym (SVP Software at Rivian) today! I can’t recall and didn’t hear everything that was discussed, so others please chime in for things I’m missing or misstating.

They’re definitely related! Final day of the quarter is March 31 so I think they’re trying to get rid of current stock before starting shut down in April. So they’re gearing up for that by closing configurator for now.
Also, I can still see my configuration and a discount, but it’s definitely not 20%. I wonder if perhaps the 20% off will be for a shop order, and a lower discount (post-refresh) for a custom order?
Has anyone been able to confirm with customer service that the voucher can be used at all with custom builds? Or is it strictly for shop purchases only?
If the latter, I’m inclined to purchase now and not wait for refresh.
I feel that you will likely have to take delivery by September 30. That’s the final day of their corporate quarter. If they truly want a maximized Q4, they won’t want any pre-March orders pending transactions in the final quarter. So all transactions should be complete by September 30.
