  1. What is the secret to cleaning these door panels?!?

FWIW ... I put it through a wash, then wiped down each panel with alcohol wipes to get as much dirt out as I could, and honestly, even after that it didn't look all that good. Then as soon as I hit it with the Cerakote it came up really nice.
  2. What is the secret to cleaning these door panels?!?

+1 on Cerakote. Same thing happened to my trim and couldn’t get it clean. It’s like the plastic absorbed the road grime and had no original sealant on it. My neighbor put me on to Cerakote. Cleaned the truck then wiped the trim and now it looks and cleans like every other trim on every...
  3. Love my new 1EV RMaxx Step Running Boards - Installed Pics and Review

I had my install at Van Nuys last week. They default to the holes which is what I wanted … the holes are really clean in my view.
  4. Colorado 20” AT spare - group buy - CLOSED

@MTStuart … sorry man, all wheels accounted for on this buy. I was surprised at how easy it was to put together the buy and pickup, and I think there’s still a lot of interest so I don’t think you’d have any trouble putting together another group.
  5. Has anyone else had to get body work done?

Dude ... I feel for you given our delivery days are 4 days apart. I really hope it gets fixed quick. I have to tell you, I'm a nervous-nelly in parking lots at the moment. I've always parked "away" from shop entrances, and now I'm like super paranoid, I honestly feel like there's a target...
  6. Colorado Checking In

Congrats! When I picked mine up a couple of weeks ago there were snow flurries as well. I heard an old wives tale years and years and years ago that if it rains on your new car it's a good omen. While I don't believe it personally, I've always enjoyed picking up a new vehicle with...
  7. R1T and Mountain Biking

I had an old Thule Snowpack ski rack. I just slid the T bolts in and off I went. It’s certainly not as aerodynamic as the Yakima. Regarding skis … I had the same problem, gear tunnel to small, and bed to short. I ride 188s so had to mount them tail forward on the Thule rack to fit right on...
  8. Ultimate MTB / Bike Carrier installed

I'm a big fan of the Ride88 setup. i created a tailgate “up” solution you might want to consider. Here’s my setup I posted in another thread. I moved to this solution because I was getting tailgate rattle while in the down position and like you said … potential damage from rocks...
  9. R1T and Mountain Biking

I’m actually on a ski trip at the moment so I’ve only got a photo of my first rough cut yoga block. I think when you see it you’ll get the idea. Here’s the link to what I bought. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O5YIHWA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Basically I attach my bike to the front of my...
  10. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

I've tried the Hotronics before. Next to useless. I warm the boots up in the bag on the way to the slopes, and also have boot heaters by Therm-ic which I use while skiing. It's an expensive setup to be sure, but keeps me on the slopes from first to last chair.
  11. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

Here's what I use. I bought it from Surefoot in Breck (but I'm sure most of the Surefoot stores carry the). https://www.skiboots.com/product_p/tt1bw-tt1gbr.htm What's even better is that it looks like it was made for the Gear Tunnel with its odd shape.
  12. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

Here's the link to Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGL8ZRCS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I tried 3 different products and this is the only one that worked. Apparently there's a chip of some sort that boosts the voltage or converts it. Frankly power, watts, amps, voltage is...
  13. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

I have a service appointment later this month to pickup some wheels and adjust a couple of other things. I'll certainly ask. Since I got my USB-C to 12V adaptor I'm actually all set so candidly it doesn't bother me anymore. My only other major external energy draw after that was heating my...
  14. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

I’d love power in my Frunk in any form but I guess it’s not to be. The 12v under the center screen was the most critical for me as I had planned to hook up my radar detector to that point … (I snake an extra long cable under the carpet and up the passenger A pillar and 3M mount the detector...
  15. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

On the day I picked it up 2 techs swore it was there until they got into the vehicle and realized that it wasn't. Changes happen fast!
  16. Rivian updates website: Two 12v outlets now (none in frunk) for R1T

Update for a 19XXX VIN. No 12v in the Frunk and No 12v in the cabin Under the main screen. The only 12v outlet still left on my R1T is in the gear tunnel.
  17. R1T and Mountain Biking

Picked up my R1T Tuesday and have been driving it relentlessly and playing the "where do I store all my stuff now that I have so many options" game. BUT the most important thing I had to sort out was how to haul my skis and my bike. On my Model X I ran a customized 1-UP hitch rack that...
  18. Colorado 20” AT spare - group buy - CLOSED

And now we are 4. @Mudhen422 I will reach out to my guide today and ask if they can break up the shipment. At this point we have an estimated pickup from Denver Service Center 03/21. The guide said it may even be earlier. Regarding your question on securing the wheel. Personally I was...
