    I think you need to add voice recognition and that will be a very hard one for Rivian to master, especially if it want to have an international reach. I tried Alexa and that will not do it.

    I agree. While AA/CarPlay looked amazing compared to 2016 car UI, it is looks ugly compared to something like Rivian UI 2021 edition (from screenshots). I just don't want to loose all the functionalities if they cannot learn to work together.

    You are making a very good point that I did not think of. No I do not have an EV yet. I would hope as EV become ubiquitous, Waze will add EV charging as a trip option. For now I use Waze mostly for traffic jam, and user reports of police activity.

    Those reviews were made by invitation under Rivian-controlled conditions to highlight the adventure part. And it's great - but hardly impartial conditions or extensive testing. Nobody testing for us commuters ;)

    I use DoubleTwist so I am screwed. But my main worry is that we users will be caught between an Amazon and Google fight by proxies once again. Assuming the close connection to Amazon is part of the reason. I am - hence the title.

    But why forcing us to choose one of the two. I want a great OEM UI and AA. The screen is big enough, I would love a split mode. Will Rivian have a voice recognition to match Google? if not, this will be a step backwards tech-wise. And an ideal car now has a wireless charger pad and wireless AA...
