yes, that's the exact use case that I thought would be useful for somebody. It goes inside the rim and is bolted down to the threaded rod in the spare tire well. You will need to buy a threadded bolt and nut. I have a set of 20" ram rims that i will eventually turn into snow tires. here is a Pic...
