I think RJ or Jeff talked about CD in the video with Kyle and specifically mentioned managing to keep a CD of .3 in spite of the boxy design of R2 but I don't think there's been anything published.
Syntax is important here. I specifically said "release press" not "press release."
"Release press" as in, all of the press coverage at the launch event when the information was allowed by Rivian to be released as opposed to a "press release" which is an official statement from Rivian for the...
Last time I took a vehicle to a dealership for service, they tried to tune me up for over $8k of services and flat out lied about the amount of brake wear I had. Stealerships indeed.
It was referenced in several of the videos, but the R2 site specifically states a 330 mile EPA estimated range and we know the battery size, so the rest is just math.
I just had my S there for service and found it to be on par with or better than previous service engagements. Certainly better than my experiences at the ATL service center in the very early days.
I got the notification that my 12V was starting to go on a Thursday afternoon and had an...
There seems to be a common misconception that vehicles that China manufactures and sells within China for the equivalent of $15k could also be manufactured and sold outside of China for similar prices.
A multitude of people from across the auto manufacturing industry, RJ included, have...
That's a hilariously inapt equivalency. China's low cost of manufacturing is directly tied to their horrific human rights record.
You may not like Elon Musk or the current administration, but Tesla isn't relying on government run reeducation camps for $.15/day labor. The PRC and USA aren't even...
Exactly. I'd much rather have one color at each space that people can interact with on their own time instead of 2 days with hundreds or thousands of other people with every color in one place at a time.
It explicitly is not for test drives, hence my assertion that test drives won't be happening well into May based on the tour dates.
If they are going to start deliveries in June, that's very disappointing.
@tobyringle that type of behavior was acceptable for a new manufacturer with their first...
I think most of the criticism here is valid. People are expecting to take delivery as early as June and according to this test drives won't be happening well into May.
I agree that they'd be better served simply putting an R2 in every show room and I can't imagine that they would be production...
I highly doubt there will be a "place in line" for R2.
I expect them to do priority for early adopters for LE and whatever they produce in 2026 but when they ramp in 2027 I think it will be much more of a free for all with shop access going out in large waves until the backlog is cleared. You...
The consensus so far from people who have ridden in the R2 is that it is more comfortable than R1. Some have indicated that it is significantly more comfortable for road driving.
I'm worried about your hydration levels. If you drink an appropriate amount of water daily, you should be using the restroom every 2-3 hours at a minimum. Failing to do so is a great way to develop kidney stones.
The only thing that 400 miles of range will give you that 300 won't is deep vein thrombosis and hemorrhoids. You really should be stopping at least every 2-2.5 hours at a minimum.
Did you get to actually drive one or just ride in it? I'm curious about the driving dynamics in comparison to the R1, especially how the torque vectoring feels with the rear wheel bias compared to the R1 front bias and how flat it feels in the corners by comparison.
Also, did you speak with...
