  1. Preproduction Rivian R1T spotted testing at Tierra del Fuego!

Interesting to read the suggestion that the Rivian trucks could be used to charge the Harleys: https://www.rideapart.com/articles/369679/long-way-up-harleydavidson-livewires-electric/ I wonder if their ā€˜certain sources’ is my question on this forum...
  2. Preproduction Rivian R1T spotted testing at Tierra del Fuego!

I think those are grabs from the ā€˜The Clean Escape’ video. Makes it less likely to be CGI, but it is an old video; published in November ā€˜18.
  3. Inside Electrify America’s plan to simplify electric car charging

Those figures surprise me. The Teslas are supposed to be pretty efficient, relatively speaking. The Audi and Merc (the Merc particularly) are cars based on existing ICE platforms, and are reported to be not efficient (I don’t have a citation but this is what I’ve understood from what I’ve read...
  4. Preproduction Rivian R1T spotted testing at Tierra del Fuego!

The panel gap on the hood of the grey one looks better than the white. The hood on the white one just seems to not fit very neatly at all.
  5. Preproduction Rivian R1T spotted testing at Tierra del Fuego!

Awesome! I’ve enjoyed their long way round/down documentaries so even more looking forward to this one! Do you think we’ll see Rivian to Harley charging? Range of the Harley seems to be 140 miles in the city, so maybe a third of the Rivian. Anyone know what the round thing on the rack above the...
  6. Inside Electrify America’s plan to simplify electric car charging

My PHEV only gets about 15 miles on electric alone, so I’m quite used to hypermiling it (my commute is just under 13 miles and in the colder part of winter I need to be very careful to make it without the engine kicking in). That said, the only times I’m likely to be travelling >100 miles is...
  7. Inside Electrify America’s plan to simplify electric car charging

For me personally, it all hinges around what range these vehicles will actually get on the highway. In the UK we have a lot of different suppliers of charge points, with the need to have numerous key fobs or apps to access the charge points, and, similar to the US it sounds, many that are 50KW...
  8. Introductions! Drop in and say hello new and old members...

Hi all, Steve from the UK here. Guess I’ve got a long wait until I can even put a deposit down, but eagerly watching this forum nonetheless. Have a BMW 3 series hybrid (330e) currently, and wanting to go full electric. Was first attracted to the truck after ignoring it for a while with its...
