Also worth noting - I didn’t use the fasteners included for the truck side mounting as there didn’t appear to be any way they would actually work (too short) so I reused the factory fasteners.
I haven’t - I was drained after the install so I didn’t dig into it much beyond making sure all the fasteners were tight. I suspect the rails themselves may need to come apart and have a washer or foam added.
That’s a good summary. Hard to recommend unless you just want basic running boards and don’t really care otherwise. I’m eyeing the Electruck4x4 Megawatt running boards - they address every complaint I have about the EVBase ones.
Installed them today… to say the instructions are useless is an understatement. 2 of brackets were labeled for the incorrect sides. Full install and initial thoughts video coming…. They’re “fine”, but I may replace them.
Charging slower actually uses more energy because you have fixed overhead to keep the vehicle awake. Faster charging means that you have those overhead consumers on for a shorter period.
I certainly can - that result may just be a tweet rather than a whole video. Wanted to get this video up and it takes a lot of time to drain such a huge pack to record these ?
This is a pretty technical video, but essentially I’m comparing the charge taper curve between new and old software and how they’re managing the heat of charging. New software is marginally better.
