That makes sense. Wheels and let's say the gear shuttle are easy to change/remove. I'm okay waiting a few months for the truck, but just a little nervous about Congress ruining the $7500 credit. Really would be nice if I can lock the purchase in by Dec. 31.

Many of the early contacts were given Sept-Dec delivery dates. And it seemed many of those contacts were random (mixed with early and late reservation holders). Those delivery dates must have been given knowing production is starting in Sept. Many of us early reservation holders...

It all makes sense now. No reason to reach out to thousands of people when they were still waiting for government approval. Now guides can actually start contacting customers. The contacts in June were random and just a show. Now they will have hard delivery dates for us.

Rivian broker said he couldn't provide me a competitive quote for my vehicles ( I have State Farm) and isn't even allowed to quote my homes (So Cal Fire areas). So I guess I will have to add the R1T to State Farm or get it separately through nationwide.
