My relevant anecdote : after @MidnightRivian posted about destination chargers I remember almost a year ago on a roadtrip, I didnt know any better and connected with a loaner A2Z DCFC adapter to a hotel tesla dest. charger. Nothing happened. I didn't charge either. So I was screwed the next day...
Good point. We do have a 2nd EV. And I'm also interested in future proofing at a reasonable price point. I've heard great things about Grizzl-e's and would like to install this and then not think about it.
I'm thinking of jumping on the sale for Grizzl-E's 80 amp charger that comes with NACS handle. Can I use my Rivian NACS adapter with that to charge my Gen 1 R1T?
Agreed on the charge often and for shorter times.
I didn’t have a NACS adapter when I drove San Diego to FL in 3.5 days (12hr days because I was alone and could) and the quick hits of recharging were great to stretch, use the bathroom or just check in with the World Wide Web hah.
EA was fine...
If I remember right the Juicebox was what the Long Way Up guys tapped into at least once along the way in Chile maybe? I thought, wow, they’ve got presence all the way out remote places. Great!
I wonder how those “market conditions” are going now.
This is the kind of nightmare with new ev-tech...

Hi all. Friendly R1T notice incoming!
The spare tire bay doesn’t empty completely and should be checked in case you don’t want rotting debris or worse, a tire that’s soaking after rains or cleaning with water, and washing.
I just checked the spare tire bay after the mad rains in FL and to my...
That’s good to hear. The rep on the phone did say they have adapters if needded. So seems like I’ll be set there.
i have a 8” drop hitch with 2” shank from Weigh-Safe that has a 2” and 2-5/16” balls.
You never thought I could've posted after the shop closed? What about that you can rent these things online when there's no chat to ping after business hours?
Thanks for the passive aggression though. :involve:
I also called the following day the rep said he didn't have the trailer in house...
Thanks!
I’ve actually had experience with the 4 pin harnesses before, but haven’t picked up an adapter yet.
And the ball sizes included with my (2” shank) hitch are 2 and 2 5/16’s so I should be set there too.
Luckily the sawmill is only 30min away and there’s a DC charger on the route so I...
