The GVWR exempts R1 vehicles from luxury tax.
Lack of availability hurts their marketshare more than pricing does. There are still giant chunks of canada where rivian flat out won't sell you a vehicle.
I can see it being sold via rivian as an accessory in the same way Kuat/Yakima racks are.
Especially since Rivian is clearly involved in prototyping it.
Are a lot of people driving their rivians around going "Man this truck is great i guess, but it would sure drive better if the stock price was higher!"
Stocks aren't product, people buying and using a vehicle by and large aren't doing it because of stock prices.
Plastic on the top of the tailgate probably similar enough in texture to a wood fence rail, that horse was probably happy to have something to chew on!

Having some technicians only doing mobile service and some only doing fixed service wouldn't necessarily be siloing - they'd have the same training, start/end the same place every day, not neccessarily different departments that never talk to each other
just resource-wise it'd make more sense...
