This may be a dumb reply, but I had a similar issue when I first got my R1S. I eventually found that unlocking all the doors from the main screen allowed me to disconnect the filler. Dumb. I know but thats what helped me out.
If you don’t want to look at the road, or keep your hands on the wheel or even pay attention to where you are going, why not just Uber/lyft around?
I honestly can’t think of a good reason for me to fully use FSD other than in rush hour traffic.
