I have my RIS (Gen 1) scheduled to pre-condition (warm) to 72 degrees on weekday mornings before we head to school. My wife likes to blast the heat into the high 70s when she drives it, and every time she does, the next morning the car is pre-heating up to her last set temp, not the scheduled...
Wow, I'm surprised the pop-out windows didn't make it. And it would have been peanuts to add a 120V somewhere in the passenger compartment too, that's a miss.
Does the frunk auto-close or is it just a gas-assisted open? No split tailgate either, which I love on my R1S.
Hi guys,
Coincidentally I had the same annoying issue with my R1S with noticeable driver's side wind noise above 70mph that drove me crazy! I had a service appt at El Segundo two weeks ago for other issues (namely replacing the roof glass that I cracked with my elbow ), but while I...
@Schmidtacular I had almost the exact same experience as you!!
The day after Thanksgiving we picked up our Xmas tree from Home Depot, and while I had no problem hoisting the tree up onto the roof (laid down an old sheet first), as I was tying down the tree with twine, I rested my elbow on the...
Nope. Huge bummer. They responded to an IG message I had written about it and said "We don't have plans for any other holiday modes at this time."
Way to disappoint the kids...
The Highway Assist with lane change is awesome, I wish I had that on last week's road trip. I also definitely experience the "vehicle location in the Navigation app inaccurately jumps forward when the vehicle is slowing to a stop" on a regular basis, so I wouldn't consider that one "rare".
I...
Update: during that online chat session I did ask for my complaint to be escalated and got a call back the next day from someone that was able to schedule me for a mobile Appt on 8/14 and a service center Appt on 8/25. Supposedly they can replace the steering wheel (there’s a defect/wrinkle) and...
I put in 5 service tickets on 6/30, shortly after I took delivery of my R1S. I've since had two calls with Rivian Service, neither of which resulted in actually scheduling an appt just a promise that someone would call me back to do so. That never happened. Now in chatting with Rivian Service...
Same here, I can’t believe there is no middle/quad zone temp control! So stupid. The fact that it’s left and right is even worse, as my wife likes to jack her heat up all the time so our younger daughter gets to bake as a result.
My R1S is currently at 405 Motoring for full XPEL ceramic tint (and PPF). I am doing 70% on the windshield, roof, and all the rear windows with the factory tint to match 20% up on the front sides. Everyone should watch Jonny Lieberman's IG video where he did a side-by-side comparison of his own...
I picked my RIS from the R1 Shop exactly a month ago today and am picking it up on Saturday (6/10), which is great! However I still don't have my wall charger or even a shipment notification, and I feel like I am getting the run around from my guide and Rivian CS. This is the latest...
5/8 - Locked in VIN off the R1S Shop
5/11 - Finally assigned a guide, was told that my truck was "in Normal, preparing for transport" with a 6-8 week delivery estimate (or sooner)
5/18 - Got a text from the El Segundo Service Center letting me know that it was on the way and estimated to be...
I got lucky on the timing and grabbed the Limestone w/ OC Launch Edition on 22" Brights yesterday. VIN 95xx...stoked! I was flip-flopping between the Brights and the Darks, but this was my original build plus the new OC interior. I can't believe they are still making Launch Editions, but that...
If they are expecting to ramp up to ~300k enduro units/year, I assume the plan is to put the enduro motors in the R2 vehicles as well. That would certainly make sense from a cost standpoint versus developing or sourcing another drive unit.
