Sorry, that stinks. I didn't realize they had added the cap until it was time to apply. If it wasn't for trying to stay under the 80k cap for the portion of the federal credit that remains (since I didn't sign the binding agreement), I may have missed out entirely.
I squeaked under with pre-price hike pricing. With destination fee had about $500 to spare under 80k. Forest Green, 21” with Black Mountain interior. With the new 80k cap and post hike pricing, seems like it would be difficult, if not impossible, even if dual motor qualified.
So I’m gathering I need to be patient and it’s normal for there to be no communication for a bit? I submitted my application in mid-September and the best I got was an automated reply a day later saying an agent would contact me within 2-4 days…
It's amazing what seeing a Rivian in the wild does for my mood. Leaving work today and saw my first R1S (with MA registration) on the streets of Newton.
Agree. I saw four in one day (3 in just my town) and all different colors. Also, my daugther reported that a teacher say a FG R1S drive out of her school parking lot just the other day. More people are becoming aware of Rivian for sure.
Guess I’ll look forward to the next update in 3 months and hope for better news. Wish they had a “flexible” checkbox for configuration because I’m certainly willing to make some concessions on color and interior.
Seeing this at the Chelsea service center with a “demo” tag hanging from the rear view mirror gives me hope some opportunities to drive it may be upcoming…
I’m hopeful with the R1 shop it will help churn through inventory quickly. It seems fully operational at this point. Seems like it has really helped the R1T rollout for those willing to compromise. I have my ideal config but flexible for any interior, especially with the updates to Ocean Coast.
Thanks! Just found your post. Great picture! Looks like there is a 2nd one now because the post I saw was of a Forest Green one. Nice to start seeing them in the area.
I agree. I think there have been some good mini-discussions that don't necessarily need a separate thread. I know I can come to this to get some good, local info.
