Funny, I can't see any obvious tie rod or etc parts messed up and the bag works as I've cycled it higher and lower. No crazy driving at all really. I'm hoping they'll hook me up with a loaner while I wait a month!
Anyone else deal with a rear wheel pushed back into wheel well with bag rubbing? I can't specifically see any suspension arms etc that are broken or bent but she's not really drivable. Bummed as 1 month wait on service with holiday crowd coming in hot in a few weeks.
I bought the flat version. Fit seems pretty on point but not sure how much grip I'll get. That was my main objective, not having things sliding around in the bed. Could care less about scratching the plastic bed. Haven't tested yet though so we'll see.
Updated last night and went out for a spin on the snowy/icy MN roads right after. Very much improved driving dynamics. Mainly noticed the "Low" re-gen and muted throttle response. Thinking twice about the need for dedicated snow tires now. Thanks Rivian!!
I've recently switched to off-road, auto mode and it seems to add a level of "abs" traction. That said i came very close to an on ramp retaining wall while driving conservatively. Really felt helpless as the weight seemed to just pull the truck towards the wall. It won't take many more of...
Jumping in late but got 8" in MN yesterday. In All Purpose mode, the truck gets sideways quite easily and it feels like very little in the way of traction control. Now, once in Off-Road (auto), completely different experience. Very planted even at some speed. OR mode felt much more like my...
I've been hand washing so far but in MN it's only a matter of time. I'll be removing my cross bars. I've had a roof mounted bike rack almost completely ripped off cross bars. That was enough to scare me off having accessories attached while going through.
MN is tough for sure. Only DC fast in Woodbury but past that to the east, EA is decently represented. I took my first trip two weeks ago and really improved my efficiency when drafting semi-trucks. From around 1.8 to 2.9 at 70mph. Also GPS checked the speedo and learned at highway speeds, R1T...
Mine used to but after a few yards of mulch in the bed, seems to be sticking. Not a big deal but boy does the spare tire area suck up crud if you load any kind of aggregate into the bed. Def not a work truck but for weekend warriors like me, no biggie.
Do tell!!! I've recently submitted my 3rd service ticket as it just keeps happening. There isn't a recalibrate note on my infotainment screen when I operate from inside the truck. Service advisor tried that one on over the phone.
I'm running a single 1UP over the bed and liking that. I did use my hitch mount as well. It's dangerously close to the truck bed so I'd recommend an extender if using 1UP. Anyone use driver assist with hitchmount??? In my X5, driver+ would freak out and fantom brake hard on the interstate...
Seems like an easy software fix. Something like "generator mode". Perhaps even be able to set a downside limit to battery level when outlets would shut off.
Ah, misunderstood your question. Yes, the return pump and wave maker in the aquarium run 24/7. That and two heaters and a light are all running from one power strip.
So a cool feature is your Rivian truck avatar shows whether the brake lights are on or off. If you let off accelerator lightly so regen is gradual, no brake light. Pull foot off gas quickly, brakes come on.
