Take a look at this video specifically when he talks about changing the approach he takes to distance between charging. You may not actually need Max Pack. Take a look.
There are a bunch already out there. I wonder if this is one of the “trucks” the service guys mentioned Rivian was bringing in to let people drive before buying and I assume R1T’s as loaners!
Is anyone taking their truck to interesting places and what advice do you have regarding charging? I’m a bland and boring contractor with a 15 mile daily commute looking to live vicariously through the rest of you guys
;)
If there were a highly limited supply I’d have a different opinion but I think the first come first served policy really should apply in the same way that people had to get in the door early to get a launch edition and launch green is only available to those people.
If I had a preorder on a S and someone with a T grabbed an S before I was given the option I would be furious! I don’t see how they could not have two separate “shops”
You have an order for an S which JUST started shipping. You also had an explore (modified to Adventure) and I’ll take a wild guess that Riv has delivery selection process a little better now and is giving people with Launch and original Adventure voices first crack at vehicles. Your glacier...
Care to chime in Rivian

I have a friend with AT’s who has 11,000 miles on his truck (did a loop of the US) and just replaced the front tires, only the fronts due to wear. He strongly suggests rotating every 5,000 miles. Right after you change the oil ;)
It’s nice to see that there are fresh reservations being booked. You’ll have plenty of time to stop some Rivians and tell them you have a reservation and see if they will take you for a ride.
CONGRATS!
by the way, it was nice to meet you yesterday and only 20 minutes after your delivery. I greatly appreciated you showing me around the R1S and if it weren’t raining would have been great to get a picture with my R1T.
Enjoy!!!
Ok, this is crazy! I was driving through a neighborhood near work and saw an R1S in the driveway, so of course I stopped and rang the bell. The happy owner (Will) of the R1S was told it is the first delivered in New England! It’s really great to see one in someone’s driveway.
Forest green with black rims is a very nice look and will stand out in a crowd. I went with El Cap to blend in with the unknowing crowd but Rivian people would know although it’s hard to hide the unified front end
