Same here, It will be June before we know it and still have not test drive. :( I don't own a R1S for priority in line, but I reserve within minutes of reservation opening and I live close to Normal, IL. I will be willing to go to Normal to pick up if means getting sooner.:)

I was thinking minus the fixed cost. I just hate when some of the naysayers investment analyst say "Rivian is losing $xxK per car," without context. Its makes it sounds like Rivian has an unprofitable product when is just an unprofitable company.

So how much does it cost to make an R2? I see percentage in saving but I think margins would be more informative for me as an investor.

I will take the over 25K R2 for 2026. I think Rivian may be sandbagging the number, under promise, over deliver. Too bad Rivian can't squeeze the R3X in the Normal factory for 2027. :(

How would Rivian know the popularity of each color without the configurator being available? I'm between Esker Silver and Half Moon Grey, but I will take any color if it means I will get it sooner.

I should have clarify, Esker Silver and Half Moon Grey are variation between Glacier white and Midnight Black. One could argue all 4 are a lack of color, like turning off color on your color printer to print a picture. :)

If that is true, then there will be only two colors Catalina Cove and Launch Green with the remaining color between white and black. That is crazy. I do hope the color choices are better with the R3X.

Personally, I think the R3 and R3X should be a break from the color palette used for the R1 and R2. The colors should be more fun more bold than the selection used so far. That said, I still wouldn't mind buying a R3X in Borealis and grey. :)

The R2 is looking to be a head turner, but for good reasons unlike the cybertruck. My opinion. :) I will bet money the R2 will have an impact on Tesla Model Y sales. I can't wait for my LE R2 in Half Moon Grey. I hope to get it for the Summer.
