I had AMICA, and they were great, now I have Farm Bureau. AMICA wouldn't insure my farm tractor so I had to switch companies. AMICA was great though while I had them.
If you want the discounted rate, you will start by using the Tesla app and selecting "charge a non-Tesla EV" and follow the prompts/steps.
If you just want to plug and charge then you won't get the member pricing.
Look at the top right for the lightning bolt. Make sure Tesla is a network that is selected as in you want to see them.
then scroll down to the hide options and unselect “adapter needed.”
There is a 3rd party DC charging adapter available (A2Z). You however can't use it yet on a Rivian. Yes, Rivian and Tesla, will say you have to use an approved one as they don't want to be liable for 3rd party products and their experience.
Usually that is the case, at least with Tesla. It doesn't make sense to code 2 different UI's for different platforms unless there are hardware limitations. ( I do not believe that to be the case here)
It, most likely, will not. The assumption is that the Rivian adapter will be just like the Ford adaptor, both made by Tesla. These adapters do not have the AC pins, only DC.
