Same issue but it was worse at first with my new Michelin 22" Defender LTX M/S2 when I replaced my OE Pirelli 22" scorpion AS's. Would hit right about 77mph. I brought it back for a re-balance yesterday, and this morning didn't detect the increased vibrations I had when I first had them...
Wouldn't it be nice if the OEM had an electrical diagram or workshop manual available so people could work on the cars without having to reverse engineer them first?
This thread makes me nostalgic a bit. I remember when I first got mine, somewhat early in the R1S roll out, they were rare enough on the mean streets that I could have flipped it for a bit more than I paid. Earlier still in the roll out, people were flipping R1S's for substantially more than...
Don't know if this is helpful to you, but here's a bunch of threads I was tracking when considering my hardware upgrade (which never happened):

Not an expert on Apple Music at all, and no idea if this has an effect on Rivian reception, but I went into my Apple iphone: Settings > Music > Audio Quality (under Audio) > Lossless Audio
I will say it is just as crisp and punchy to my ear as Tidal max (except when Atmos is involved).
Made this chart in case you need help tracking the work yet to be done once Rivian starts paying you for your time... :p

There's also the fact that many on this forum benefited from the early reservation holders price maintenance decision that Rivian made after they raised prices. All told, after my $7500 tax benefit, I think I paid around $78k for mine, so the depreciation hit isn't going to be quite as painful...
That sucks. I guess the cult wine analog would be getting one only to find it's corked! Seriously sorry to hear you have had so much trouble and surprised to hear they can't resolve your problems. Mine has been terrific thus far (knock on wood).
I rented a car in Florida a few months back and they only had a Dodge Charger with a hemi. That thing made so much glorious engine noise, I couldn't wait to see how it did off the line. So I floored it, it roared like an unmuzzled P-38, and .... blah hardly felt like it was moving. Painfully...
You can start a whole cottage industry just adapting your setting recommendations for the numerous new permutations of vehicle models, generations, and sound systems.
I mean, buying a car off the virtual lot that you think you might want to flip immediately doesn't make a lot of sense unless the car happens actually to be a restricted mailing list cult wine.
Question: Would wheel balance have a material effect on efficiency? My numbers are not looking so great thus far (22s), but it's only been about 60 miles so could be wrong. Nonetheless, I'm also getting some slight steering wheel vibrations/shake at 75-85 mph on the brand new skins, and plan...
You've produced another extremely clear and compelling read. I'm far from an engineer of anything, let alone audio systems, and I read every word. I'll be playing with these new settings in the garage all night.
Not sure yet. I've been out of town and only driven a few miles on them so far. Efficiency seems to be unchanged, but the sample size is pretty minimal. I will watch this and get back with more info later.
