I’m at the same mileage as you and my original 12 volts lasted 2.5 years. I’ve debated switching to the Ohmmu lithiums as well, but for now I purchased 2 pairs of sOONish battery post relocators so that I can swap in less expensive aftermarket lead acid 12v when the time comes. I know a few...
I experienced this in my truck. They replaced a wiring harness, ASM module, and spoiler/antennas. I understand there can be other causes for a system fault and it took some time to pin down the cause in my case, but it solved the problem.
You’ll need a platform of some kind. The floor is not rigid, just the mattress which folds in the middle. It’s essentially a two-man ground tent in RTT packaging & mattress. I have lots of pics if anyone is interested.
There’s a large battery plant under construction as a joint venture between Ford and SK On. And Ford’s new EV platform will be built at a factory in Louisville.
I you put in a KY zip code you will see leasing as an option. I was told KY will be officially listed “very soon”
I’ve been debating trading in and purchasing a 2026. I was told they would still accept it with open service tickets. With the tax credit expiring soon, if that’s a factor I’d try to move forward and let them repair the issues on their own time.
Not a ton of us in Kentucky. I personally know 7 owners which might be a quorum for the state…
But some of the early owners were in Kentucky. Being relatively close to Normal a few of us got invites to an event at the factory in March 22 for early purchases.
We are fortunate to have cheap...
If you’re looking for a tent that fits well inside the bed, check out a C6 Outdoors Rev. They sell a separate frame that can be mounted as a RTT, but I’ve used mine both ways. There are certainly cheaper options but I’ve been happy with it and the built in mattress is comfortable.
Same happened to me last year but I did the 12v disconnect myself… not rivian-approved but it worked. My truck was stuck in 13-mph turtle mode so essentially bricked anyway and I took my chances.
I’m kind of having this same debate right now as well. I’m at 72k miles and have had many issues requiring service, and my truck is in the shop for a HV battery replacement right now. Service center 2 hours away, but no wait times and they are very helpful and responsive. Love the truck and...
Maybe not, but I personally know three people who have done exactly that and now own Rivians. On the flip side, I work with someone who just bought a Cybertruck and politics were a factor for him as well. I have no idea how much it’s actually affecting sales for either company, but a few...
I have a fairly early VIN, noticed fluid leaking from the rear drive unit within a month of getting the vehicle in 2022. I never had warnings or a motor failure but they replaced the unit. No problems since.
A Rivian employee recommended to me attaching a zip tie loop to the cable release loop to make it easier to see/grab when needed. I think others here have suggested stashing the T20 inside the trailer hitch also.
I had an airbag blow in August. The leak was very loud and obvious, and didn’t take long for all 4 corners to be sitting on the bump stops. I had the bag, lines, and compressor replaced under warranty. I’m fortunate to live near the least-busy service center in the country. Hopefully they’ll...
