It's definitely not technical. There are 3ish spots where you get decently close to the edge on those corners. In reality, there's room. From the drivers seat... You question yourself :)
Technical..nope..
Pucker.. Yeapā¦
Views.. amazing!
On this trail, the pucker factor was high enough that some people refused to ride in the wagons through this section. They were called āchickensā.
I could see why trusting a horse might be tough. 400 foot drop..
Gladiator and Rivian..
yeah, that was one of the main reasons I had that shot in there. But I also wanted to get a lot of the Rivian doing its thing rather than me spotting so I took a lot of me out :)
Well, my son and I were wheeling in Moab and we got some video of us going up the same, pretty tall, step. I was a little more care free in my rig than my son wanted to be in his rig but in the end, we both made it just fine taking the same line... Him with some spotting :)
The Gladiator (from...
āYeah. We took Shelf Road back to Canon City. Iāll have a video on that before too long. We also did āthe bankā trail which isnāt terribly hard but definitely has more off-road challenge than shelf or phantom.
Thank you a bunch for the feedback. Iām the same way. And my wife is a historian so it helps a lot.
Any constructive criticisms?
and obviously any sharing and subscribing might help get it out to folks like us⦠appreciate you!
Hey all,
Weāre trying something different here. Instead of just finding obstacles to drive over (which we still do), we are looking to spend some real time exploring histories, ghost towns, mines and other fun stuff about the trails⦠including obstacles :)
Let me know if this is interesting to...
Yes you did! As soon as we saw you over there we decided that there was no possible way that the Rivians, and their owners, werenāt going to meet. At least I had a Gladiator come over to make me feel better :)
If you think about it, 4 motors should be able to mimic lockable diffs exactly. In fact, it should be able to do better than lockable diffs by figuring out when ālockedā is needed and immediately switching to that in like .000001 seconds. You can see it in the video. The R1T does eventually...
We did Fins N Things last week in Moab along with some other trails. I have a rather big backlog of videos to put together but I figure I could toss out some short ones along the way. Here is the R1T doing a pretty decent climb later in the trail..
If you didnāt see this one, it has quite a bit of the Rivian in it. It was an early video so a little rough around the edges. And I got lost and broke the Jeep because I was stupid.
He runs right around 30-32. As a Jeep guy, that seems really high and I questioned it. But given the weight of this thing, the tires still squat pretty good in the low 30s.
Ha. A third actually. My son is also an Aaron who is a software engineer in Colorado :) He's actually the Rivian owner but not gonna lie, I'm a little jealous. We're headed back from Moab tomorrow and his rig was solid. On fins n things I was dragging ass all day in my Gladiator diesel leveled...
