100% normal. Personally, this is why I feel Conserve mode is only to be used when absolutely necessary to get where you're going without running out of charge. For me, that is almost never.
On road trips early in ownership, when I had a little anxiety over just how far the R1 would actually go...
there's also the issue that a lot of R1 owners who might be looking to replace an early build are now looking at paying $20k+ more than they did originally which, financially or mentally, may be too much of a stretch. and then there are people like me, 3+ years into ownership of my LE, who have...
If the R1S were closer to Suburban/Expedition sized, I absolutely would NOT have purchased it. I need a 2 row with a large cargo area for the dog crate. And I had originally planned to buy the 2 row R1S variant until that got nixed so, needless to say, my 3rd row is always folded down.
But this...
product plans are always subject to change, parts availability, engineering readiness, etc. no one is entitled to anything here. Rivian would not exist as a company today had they held off releasing the R1 by 3+ years until they could deliver that one feature. and, frankly, anyone that was able...
high end cast wheels can approach the strength/weight balance of forged. the biggest advantage forged wheels have over cast, especially for offroad, is that they are more forgiving of damage (ie, they are more likely to bend than break).
I don't experience this with my Chargepoint. I find it interesting that yours tries to start charging every 45 minutes like clockwork. And if I'm interpreting the messages correctly, it's not actually adding any charge. It just wakes up, attempts to charge, realizes it doesn't need to and then...
I've been running the Continental Terrain Contact HT, also a 115, for over 25k miles now. I will 100% buy these again when they eventually wear out - they are better than the OE Pirelli in every way except the load rating. I don't tow or carry heavy loads that might make the 115 an issue.
generally speaking, glass does not serve as a structural element or contribute to crash safety (outside of being laminated, etc to protect from the hazards posed by the glass itself, eg large shards of broken glass).
See, I am nowhere close to trusting my family's life with the current state of autonomy and that lack of trust actually doubles my stress levels when letting the vehicle drive. Not only do I need to worry about what the traffic around me is doing but I also have to second guess everything the...
I mostly agree. I would love for my visually impaired wife to be able to get around on her own without being subject to being left standing on the curb by an Uber/Lyft driver who (illegally) refuses the ride because of her Seeing Eye dog. Personally though, I will never turn over the steering...

Key Points
BMW and Mercedes halted Level 3 autonomy due to high costs and weak demand.
Tesla avoided Level 3, relying on cameras over costly LiDAR, now seen as prescient.
Infrastructure, regulations...
Funny, saw a post just this evening on Instagram from some law firm looking to spin up a class action against Rivian for supposedly promising level 3 autonomy for Gen 1 but not delivering the hardware to support it.
