  1. Rivian Ordering Hasn't Improved Since March 2019

Verily curious: if the delta between QM and Lightening with preference towards Rivian, why not a Tri Motor R1? It's not my business, but I just... assume the better option, all things considered, for your use case, if you want it now...would be the R1T Tri Ascend. Even RJ has said something...
  2. Tire wear with suspension in LOW

I, personally, do not see an issue here, unless you hate efficiency and prefer less-efficiency. I've used my truck in "Auto" ride height since I've owned it. I have a commute 72 miles one way, mostly highway. My tire wear is perfectly even and I'm on track to get >30k miles out o my OEM 21"...
  3. Any updates on when NACS port will be added to the R1T / R1S?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Standardizing the vehicles is a silly requirement, especially given ordinances and location-based layout limitations. Notwithstanding the myopic sentiment of assuming that this is the way we'll charge for the foreseeable future. Tech is moving faster...
  4. Drive it like you stole it, people

Crap, I had no idea that was a thing. Fortunately, I think you're right about the laxness of the acceleration clause. Because I like to race redlight to redlight!! :D
  5. Heated Headlight Lenses Patent filed by Rivian

Heated headlights are not new. They've been made for years. Condensation is not a problem Rivian needs to solve. They just need to copy the homework of others. This patent is for whatever the overlay/film is that will heat the lens, considering heated headlights are not a new innovation...
  6. This Class Action Opt Out Process Should be Illegal

FTFY: Meh. If there is a settlement and you receive a check, just donate it to charity buy more stock with it! Drive well. Ok, $1.14000000 and $2.870000000. Better?? :D (I know what you meant, I was just being ..smart!)
  7. Traded Gen 1 R1T Quad Large in for GMC Sierra ICE

This very much depends on individual experience, AND the vehicle driven. I had a Volvo V60. Look up how much it is to take that into the dealership every time (I never walked away with less than a $200 service bill). And my commute meant I was maintaining that vehicle at least 3 times/year...
  8. 2023 R1T - Sagging front end?

Relevant Thread and suggestion for testing
  9. Prevent self leveling after parking

That would probably be a really good idea for 'testing' whether there are any leaks or anything further to be concerned with. Great suggestion. All-Terrain > Set to Highest > Place in Tire Change mode and leave it. If the truck starts lowering again, or the compressor keeps kicking on, you...
  10. R1S Demo Vehicles Available

Potentially correct (the part where you are positing where the miscommunication occurred), and I might've had it incorrect as well. My point, however, was to indicate that the Demo vehicles were decidedly not eligible for referrals, as the OP had offered. They should be, in my opinion. Or at...
  11. R1S Demo Vehicles Available

FYI: Referral codes do not work with Demo vehicles. Source: we just bought a Demo R1S for the wife. There was nowhere to enter it throughout the entire process and the Rivian Sales rep specifically told her the Referral Codes are only for brand new (Shop and Configuration) vehicles.
  12. Malvern, PA SC Now Accepting Appointments (KOP area, Philadelphia Suburbs)

I'm dropping mine off on the 8th! (I just had to bugger them for 3 weeks straight... hopefully that's a thing of the past now).
  13. Used R1T inspection prior to purchase

Also, if you're willing to do a little travel, and any of these check your boxes: https://demovehicles.rivian.com/collections/all?filter.v.availability=1
  14. Used R1T inspection prior to purchase

I AM NOT an expert, and hopefully someone else can chime in to alleviate your concerns. But here's my understanding (I have a neighbor who's bought 2 second-hand Rivians from our friendly neighborhood used auto dealership). Rivian is involved. And they need to be. Even just for the software...
  15. When will Rivian get CarPlay? Need better Nav and hands free text

My mother always told me that I would have a more fulfilling life if I was grateful for what I have, moreso than disappointed in things I don't. Happy New Year Rivian Forums!!
  16. When will Rivian get CarPlay? Need better Nav and hands free text

Hey now! This also makes zero sense to someone with an Engineering Degree!!
  17. Has your phantom vampire drain significantly improved with 2024.47.x software update?

Mine has definitely improved. It got to the point where it's drop 2-3% per day in my (climate controlled) garage (gear guard off and proximity locking disabled) while plugged in (charger kept kicking on.). Frequently, I'd get in the truck and the actual SoC was 2% lower than setpoint (68% when...
  18. Dragy and timed runs - post your data here

Good sir, that's not...how power works. This isn't a debate. Power is defined as an equation of Force x (times) Distance / (divided by) time. It's physics. Time is a constituent requirement of power. You cannot have any power at all when time = 0. It's simply a mathematical impossibility...
  19. Dragy and timed runs - post your data here

My amateur experience launching my truck: I've never once gotten the 21 OEM to break loose and I've never once seen or felt traction limited by them during hard launches. I'm 99% confident that Rivian has the truck 'tuned' for the wheels and tires they're configured with, and therefore probably...
