I listened to the call.
1. They are not giving any additional production guidance beyond what was in the S1 regarding clearing the preorder backlog. An analyst asked the question specifically and RJ reaffirmed that the target is still to clear the preorders (71k) as of now by end of 2023, but...
It definitely makes a difference. Anecdotally I'd say an added 10% range, but sometimes following a semi means you're going slower so hard to say for sure.
Reiterated timeline for all existing preorders are still expected sitting where they are today to be completed in 2023(71k) , but insinuated that pretty soon they will push to 2024.
I think it's probably both right. They have started the program in Denver in that the center is open, it's staffed, there are numerous vehicles there as we've seen, but perhaps no actual drives have happened.
So, as I expected even before this new information, mobile drive invites are going to...
I wouldn't look too far into that statement. Every company on earth is "evaluating the pricing of their products" at all times, but right now especially. I would be surprised if they raise prices on existing orders, but we'll see.
Well, or you have it backwards. How many service techs do you need for 650 brand new vehicles? That's one van for every 10 vehicles. They have far more than they need for current vehicles.
Yep, SHOULD being the operative word....
Also they are just re-reporting Q3 financials that were already known as of the IPO, so the financial bit is not useful.
Current earnings have little to do with the stock price at this point. Lucid missed their earnings by similar margin on their earnings call and the stock was up nearly double digits.
The function is definitely not limited to highways, though it may be software locked that way to start. There is a video of them using it at Agua Dulce on the runway with a local newsman (customer drives only got to experience regular cruise control). So, like a lot of it, it should grow over time.
The Hummer can only tow 7,500lbs vs. 11,000, but that's still somewhat useable.
I don't see how you can claim the Hummer might be a better off roader when there is zero footage or first hand accounts of it even being driven off road. But, I'd argue the smaller size and four motors will make the...
I don't think the former Hummers ever approached anything like this in price, inflation adjusted. I don't think they sell more than 30k a year and then the government will ban them by 2030 because of their terrible "gas" mileage.
I don't know anything about bomb defusion, but in my opinion I think you should cut that red thingy right there. :D
I love it when people undercut their own credibility and then still throw shade.
Comparing this and the R1T is a bit like Reps and Dems, there's a clear delineation in tastes, but I'm scratching my head to figure out where the extra 2k lbs are vs. the Rivian. Oh, it's the 45kwh of battery to get the same range and otherwise generally bulky body.
So, all else equal, you're...
Well I guess I'm speculating a little that it works both ways, but there is a digital gauge and it stops on the way up so no reason it shouldn't stop on the way down.
