I have agonized over this same scenario for months. I think it comes down to being realistic with yourself. For example, you mentioned the ability to sleep in the R1S, but realistically how often would you do that? How often would you bring your dogs with or use the vehicle to transport...
I was wondering about taking the front wheel off and putting the bike under the tonneau myself. I measured my mountain bike and even sticking it in the bed diagonally and removing the front wheel, I'm not sure it will fit. Might have to take off the back wheel as well. Would love to know if...
Why not just get a tailgate cover for transporting bikes and put the bike in the bed? I ask because that's my plan -- just want to make sure there aren't any issues doing that with the R1T.
I think Rivian clearly over delivered in the most obvious and important way -- on the vehicles themselves. They have exceeded expectations almost universally for initial quality, craftsmanship, ride quality, performance and several other key metrics. In fact, I can't recall a single review of...
This is largely unrelated to your comments, but if your R1S were ready for delivery today, would you take it (says a lot about confidence in the future of the company)?
Today's massive drop is driven in large part by Ford dumping shares. At this price level, all it takes is some half-way decent news during earnings on Wednesday and we'll see a pop in stock price from today's levels.
The culture of the company seems to be under promise and over deliver --...
Can anyone confirm that:
1) When using a Tesla Wall Charger to charge a Rivian (using an adapter) you can still use scheduled charging (e.g., plug the truck in when you get home at night and it automatically starts charging at the scheduled time to take advantage of lower rates)?
2)...
Thank you for this. It's extremely helpful. I'll either get the Tesla Charger or the Rivian Charger. More than likely I will always have a Tesla of some sort. If I go with the Tesla charger and use an adapter to charge the Rivian, is there any downside to doing that versus getting the Rivian...
I apologize, because I'm sure this question has been asked before, but after reading through the various posts, I'm more confused than ever and just need a simple answer to a couple of questions. I have a Tesla and for the last three years have charged it from a 30-amp dryer outlet in my...
I'm the OP and based on my experience, I don't think Rivian is taking proximity to service centers into account. Not complaining, but I don't understand why they picked me to receive a truck now -- I live 250 miles from a service center and I'm not even a Launch Edition preorder.
The interesting thing for me is I nervous when I bought my 2018 Model 3 for the same reasons -- service center was 150 miles from me. At the time I saw lots of posts from people with issues, but I went for it and never had a single problem. Maybe I was just lucky, but car has been flawless...
Having seen a fair number of posts about people having a variety of issues (all fixable but issues nonetheless) with their new R1Ts, I'm curious how many would take delivery immediately and deal with the issues, or push delivery out further to give Rivian more time to iron out the wrinkles? In...
I'm curious what people's thoughts are around the value of the R1T Launch Edition compared to the Adventure Edition. They are basically the same trucks, but will Launch Editions be valued higher and also retain their value over time better than Adventures, just because they are technically a...
This is great feedback -- thanks to you and others who have weighed in. I love people answering the question about whether you'd take the R1T or Model 3 if you had to run a quick errand, because it really breaks things down to their basics.
