Just to update. I did remove the rear wheel well and trim. It was pretty straightforward and easy. No sensors to deal with. It allows access behind the wheel and there is a sheet metal bulkhead that the PDR person will need to drill a small hole in to access the far rear end of the truck...
Am I the only one who is appalled by the gear tunnel door creasing? WTF? This is a $90K truck. It should be able to withstand someone opening and closing the gear tunnel doors.
I used to use ratchet straps all the time, but no longer.
The best advice I can give is to buy yourself some paracord and watch a few videos on how to tie a trucker's hitch. It's the most useful skill you'll have for owning a truck. I can tie down and secure anything in less time than it...
How are people who are doing their own rotations lifting the truck in so many points as to rotate the traditional rear tires to the front and front tires to the rear in a cross pattern? How many jacks are you using? I feel like I'm missing something here. I have one floor jack and four jack...
OP here. For the reasons you outlined, I did have PPF installed on my tailgate, which didn't cost much. I haven't noticed any nicks, dings or even dirt on the tailgate, so not sure the rear tires kicking up road debris is even an issue. My buddy has the same Ride 88 setup and he chose not to...
I don't have the BuiltRight license plate product, but did install their Rivian-specific MOLLE panel on my truck and I have to say I am so impressed by the engineering and quality of their product. I have no affiliation with the company, but want to give credit where credit is due.
I also have a Cybertruck reservation placed on day two. Have had my R1T since June. It hasn't been perfect, but service is pretty good about addressing whatever issues I've had. As a former very happy Model 3 owner, the Rivian is just a much better, higher-quality vehicle. I suspect the CT...
I have this same issue on a 12/22 build. To be clear, is the fix a new seal or a new hood or additional epoxy or a combination of these? I have an appointment with service for this, but just wanting to be sure I know what to ask for.
I have a small door ding just behind the rear passenger side wheel. My dent repair guy said he can fix it if he can access it from behind, which means removing the rear wheel liner. I can't find anything online about doing that so thought I'd ask here. Has anyone removed the rear wheel...
I have the Iceco GO20 and love it. It does fit in the gear tunnel and I've read others can access it from the opening in the rear seat, but I've done that. I like easy access, so I've just put it on the back seat.
Found a great (and much less expensive) option to a rooftop tent. This is the Crua Culla. It's insulated and its structure is inflatable, so can be set up with no poles or stakes in about 30 seconds using the Rivian's onboard compressor. The tent fits the bed perfectly. It has tent-stake loops...
No one is going to be able to give you a definitive answer, but I know many people with R1Ts, I maintain connections with service techs and I read the forums pretty closely. Anecdotally, I think the issues have gotten way better. The wind noise issues are exponentially better than they used to...
With V2H, can the power the solar panels generate during the day be pushed to the truck's battery for later use, or is V2H one way, meaning that the truck battery can only push to the house?
With rumors of Rivian enabling V2H in the near future, I wanted to ask the mindhive for their thoughts on my situation.
I have a 7.5kWh Tesla solar panel array on my house, but I do not have any batteries connected to the system. Given my state is soon moving to NEM3, I was considering...
I've had my Rivian since June and I've had my share of issues with it, but nothing that Rivian hasn't been quick to fix for me -- and I live 200 miles from the nearest service center. I came to the Rivian from Tesla and unlike a lot of Rivian owners, I remain a massive Tesla fan. Before the...
