More likely a mixture of software tuning/safety/torque management/anti-wheel spin/peak current draw limitations.
In which sport mode + disabling the traction control will help a little, but I'm sure there is a baseline limitation that Rivian baked in.
Perhaps the next update will assist in...
As a share holder; yes because rich bops will buy it solely for that reason
As a human being realizing the average intelligence and will power of people; no.
If zombie outbreak comes; yes
Very vague "protip"...
Let's not confuse people further.
Leaving a storage device plugged in is not going to cause issues with their updates. That's not how software works.
Consumer me: sour with envy on the Gen 2 updates.
Investor me: seeing $$$ over the long term value growth that Rivian will achieve.
If I'm lucky: some of RIVN will pay for my Gen 2 upgrade - but I'm not counting on it. I'll fork out the extra dough knowing I will eventually see it back in my...
Def rat this guy out. Post his mug shot. Name and shame.
Careless people that don't take responsibility for their actions need to be held accountable.
Tough part is, when you're adult, sometimes you have to be the one to deliver the accountability.
Let me first state: I love my truck & Rivian.
Okay now that's outta the way.
Fuck that hose! Fuck that compartment door with its cheap flimsy plastic hinges.
It's bad engineering, and cheaply manufactured. I hope to see 3rd party replacements for the gear tunnel doors interior hidden...
I hope Rivian is working diligently on vast improvements for their autonomous software on both Generations. Love my truck, but the self driving feature and even the "lane centering" rendering can be off when it's not in Driver+ mode when the lanes are narrow.
Hitting your head on your lift gate is no joke. My buddy was out for 3 months due to hitting his head on his wife's lift gate. Caught it on his Ring. He had to do rehab for 90+ days to get back to normal.
Balance gone. Couldn't drive. Couldn't play games. Could hardly work on this laptop...
I switched to progressive for the first time from my usual back n forth between state farm and geico.
They got me a great rate for home owners + 2 cars.
Then 6 months go by and they raised our car rate by $400 per 6 months... fuckers...
No accidents, no claims, just them being greasy slime...
I highly doubt Rivian will allow Gen 1 reservation holders to apply their full discount towards their Gen 2s. Perhaps for the lower tier ones?
Would it be awfully nice of them if they did? Yes!
And if they did, you'll be last on priority. (huge if)
Economically; it doesn't make sense. Unless...
I wonder if RIvian will give a customer loyalty discount for trading in a previous R1 for the gen 2?
(I can dream, can't I?)
R1 Gen 2 Quad Reserved.
If I keep playing GME right, I"ll be able to afford it without needing to pickup some gig work.
