Great question and I'm not sure. What I have learned is Gear Guard has some issues and is still "under development" according to Rivian service. For example, the honk is supposed to sound upon a breach. It doesn't or at the very least only does sometimes. It's a bug. There are other issues with...
Absolutely works. In Rivian thefe are multiple choices for sources of audio including Spotify, radio stations, Tune-In AND mobile device. So you, via Bluetooth, play music from your phone, including Apple Music.
They've a custom onboard mapping app into which you input destination. Reason for custom is I'm guessing, 1) it adds charging stations and feature to route trip and plan where you might need to recharge - very cool, 2) don't want to be trapped in someone else proprietary mapping software (i.e...
Yes, when attempted intrusion occurs the 5 cameras all record incident and store on internal HD. You can view thru gear guard within onboard app, save videos to USB-C thumb drive. Quality is good.
360 camera is awesome, especially for getting in and out of tight spaces. No rattles so far. Lack of CarPlay or Android Auto really not a factor for me, the on-bord app has everything I use. Map is REALLY good. Cameras are responsive and decent quality - work fine for purpose intended.
I'm a previous Jeep Wrangler Unlimited owner. This is my fist pickup, though ridden in plenty, all sizes. The R1T feels just right for me; a bit linger and wider than the Wrangler, more spacious in the cab, especially up front. I trail run, cycle, kayak and ski so the bed length is more than...
Correct. If you call them (which is what was recommended to me by guide to do) you don't get a confirmation email or ticket #. At least that was my experience.
Agree completely. In the next 5 years every major will offer EVs. TCA (Trip Charging Anxiety) will be a non-issue (really is 90% there now). The key differentiators will be: 1. EV quality/features and 2. Service quality.
Quality and consistent service = loyalty.
Rivian seems to understand that...
Exactly. There is another communications disconnect between guides and service. I asked my guide to look at my trouble ticket and see status of my previous day discussion with service technician about the gear guard malfunctioning. The Rivian service technician neither gave me a trouble ticket #...
That is consistent with what I’ve been told. I was <20M from service center in West Sacramento. The R1T had 46 miles on odometer. The “delivery guide” was excellent, albeit this was only his 3rd delivery and has been a Rivian employee for less than 2 weeks. He was on time (to the minute)...
Have you got your R1T? Color? I’ve not seen another R1T “in the wild” in the greater Sacramento area, or for that matter anywhere! I’ll be looking for you!
