At the very least, the error message needs to make some damn sense. "Adaptive cruise control disabled when seatbelt unbuckled." would sure have been a lot less of your and Rivian's time and patience wasted.
Also whytf would it need to be disabled til next service!!

@OP, did you check to see if your breaker was tripped? That's probably why it stopped charging, your breaker protecting you as it should.
What happened when you set the charging to lower current?
Mine have been excellent. Still good as new after 5 months!
Mine was one of the first batch and I had to do some modifications to make it fit, but by now they should be great. Haven't heard of anyone needing to do that lately.
Road noise reduction would be another reason.
There had been a couple of posts in the past from folks who got a service loaner with a shield that they didn't have, or vice versa, and remarked on the difference on the highway.
