  1. Undriveable at night in wet snow due to LED headlights not melting snow & ice

This is a nuisance for sure, but not unique to Rivian. Both my Tesla and (especially) my Jeep Wrangler have the exact same issue. The Rivian, like my Jeep, will probably suffer more by nature of the flat face. I've found aftermarket heating elements for the Wrangler, but have yet to install...
  2. Broken Suspension on R1T ? during PNW Rivian group trip: WA BDR.

The computer 'problem' isn't just EVs.. at least not according to all these salesmen that keep pushing extended warranties at me because "that Jeep has 14 computers in it.. do you know how to service those!?" For the Rivian service schedules I haven't seen anything, but that doesn't surprise me...
  3. Broken Suspension on R1T ? during PNW Rivian group trip: WA BDR.

You haven't looked very hard, then. The are countless articles and forum write-ups for people with 100k+ miles that have broken down their actual cost comparisons. I've owned 3 EVs now (2 Teslas and R1T) and driven more than 100k in then myself. My maintenance has included wipers and tires.
  4. Price for additional wheel set (anyone with a guide?)

Regarding the factory pricing, I can tell you from my invoice that a single 20" wheel and tire is exactly $1,000. In total, adding the spare tire post-delivery is costing me nearly double what it would have if I'd added it to the original config. All together it's just over $1400 (including misc...
  5. Title, license plate (transfer or new) and registration

Watching intently. I'm 90 days post delivery, expired temp tag, and no eta on my registration/plates still. Really ruining the ownership experience.
  6. PSA: Phone-as-a-Key Security Issue

Wow, quite the thread here. I'm an Android user and just don't let any of my apps turn connections on themselves, so killing Bluetooth (or just powering off) solves the issue. I'd also never dream of leaving my phone (as a key or otherwise) in my vehicle, and certainly not powered on if I did...
  7. El Cap Granite R1T in Satin XPEL PPF Wrap

I'll scratch that itch for you. Small little creek crossing. My right front wheel is dropped into the ditch here, which is why that front left looks so squatted.
  8. Road Trip from Illinois to California has begun.

In my experience, no. It starts throttling noticably above 50%. I getting 116kw at 60% soc earlier today.
  9. First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

Rivian Blue, Looks like the same overall build as the truck that was mentioned in the start of this post. I just also have the off-road upgrade.
  10. First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

That's tough.. great tunnel is sweet, but I think it's just the overall execution. I've owned 2 Tesla's (S & 3), And I don't have much bad to say about them.. Loved my model 3 in fact, but materials choices and fit and finish are definitely superior in the Rivian.
  11. First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

I sure hope he didn't get the skid plate for free, I paid $1700 for it! Lol. I'm happy to get under body photos.
  12. First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

Re the cruise control going away entirely: Tesla does the same thing. I honestly think it's a safety based decision. As much as I'd also appreciate a graceful reduction in capability, imagine all the accidents from people that are so used to the vehicle auto-braking.. Until it doesn't.
  13. First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

Took delivery of my non-LE pickup yesterday as well (in Kansas). They told me I was the 4th one in the area. Note: it's fantastic!
  14. Find your Rivian Order Number & Post it Here!

Pre-ordered on 9/19/19. I'm planning to wait until late 2021/early-22 regardless of place in line though, so not overly concerned with my place in line.
