Fair enough.
It's silicone btw. Common for use in cars. As for the front clips, I chose not to use it as it wouldn't facilitate the fit.
I know I didn't see the front edge pulling back while using it if I didn't pull it back.
If you're not happy with it please email me. And happy to send you...
This should help explain whats going on.
This is the power distribution attachment/panel that's connected to my driver side battery. The small bolt on its own on the top left is where it connects to the battery through this power distribution panel.
The reason we need to move those connectors...
The mat is not intended to be adhered to the OEM charger. Similar to our Topocharge it's meant to be removed when it needs to be cleaned.
The TopoLock will slide in between the wood and slide into the rear of the center console. There will be little to no side to side movement.
Now the...
Happy to send out any adapters needed to complete the kit. Just let me know sizing and I can do that for anyone that needs it.
I believe based on my picture (which matches fairly well to the OEM battery) swapping your adapters like you did is the way to go. We are basically moving the terminals...
Howdy!
Trying to figure out why you would need the extra adhesive. The TopoLock sits within the wood sides, locks into the rear slots, and sits within the front bowl area.
As for "thinness" yes it's emulating the OEM mat in thickness as we have to mimic that for proper fitment. We can't...
In the process of designing a drop in sub box for the R1T.
Will need an amp/sub to purchase. But trying to make everything else easy to install. It will take the place of the OEM sub.
I'm wondering if it's a Gen2 vs Gen1 swap. Looks like Gen1 is D. I don't have a Gen2 to confirm L.
Also I will say that adapters can be swapped from positive vs negative to align better. It's more about height and bringing the posts closer to the center of the battery. There is a little play...
Ohmmu already has theirs in the correct location.
As for a bowl for the center console, in Gen2 you need to keep the charger in place otherwise the vehicle won't apply updates.
Aluminum.
We will not be making a video tutorial at this moment. I will the next time I replace my 12 v batteries. I will give written instructions if requested that mimics the official rivian install guidance.
Single battery is straight forward. There's a method with the two batteries that requires a jumper to do it properly. A few updates ago we were given an option to reset 12v error codes.
The point of the adapters is to offer people willing to work on their cars an option. We are just trying to...
Gen1: it will fit perfectly. But the gen1 charger absolutely stinks. If it already charges for you then yeah it should work great with it. I wouldn't waste my money upgrading that to the Gen 2 charger.
But honestly for Gen1 get our Topocharge it more than doubles the charging speed and it still...
Yes. The intention of group batteries is to have size, spacing and location of terminals to be the same. On the rivian side there is some play for installing but it's more about aligning.
