It's not that weird. Most companies have the "do no harm" mentality. It is an inherent trust between an employer and employee. Company provides early access to R1T and employee agrees to "do no harm" to the company's reputation. This seems more like common sense.

Your comment was about American car companies. Tesla is an American car company. As for luxury, they have high cost vehicles, but the model 3 is priced right at the average for cars sold in America.
Looks awesome, but they are going to have to do something with the weight. At 18k pounds, I am not aware of an EV with the capacity to tow one of these.
