I'm starting to salivate a little over the Voltaic wheels in bronze on my new Red R1T. Anyone have bronze wheels on their red truck they want to share?
Oof, that's rough.
I guess you can run mismatched front-rear sets, but it kind of depends on your plans. Do you do a lot of off-roading? Was this a one-off where you tore through something you didn't see/expect (or a rookie move - I'm certainly guilty of plenty of those)?
If you do a lot of...
You did better than me. With the mini frig (which was maximally-mini - the biggest size I think Whirlpool makes without just calling it a "refrigerator") my S was packed.
Had my wife and son in the S while my college kid took her Miata, which was stuffed to gills with a small cooler, a day...
It appears it's back on the configurator for all but the base spec R1, which is great news!
I was pretty sad to see that they went with all subdued colors (except blue).
My PDM Red is on the way, and part of me now wants to hold off and get a red Tri with OC ...
If I'm seeing the damage correctly, were it me, I would go aftermarket and replace with something beefy.

There may be others. I...
Very much so. That’s why I give this bot a 10/10 for trolling. It’s impressive - and fairly polite! - and I wish it a long life, hopefully on the cybertruck forum.
Welcome! I swear there's useful stuff around here - sometimes.
FWIW, this is almost certainly a bot, and I've enjoyed watching people argue with it (including me!).
This thread is pretty epic, though. Usually it devolves into name-calling when it goes on this long, but this bot is persistent...
There's a thread around here somewhere, but I'm pretty sure the Gen 2 Large and Max packs are NMC, and the Standard is LFP.
RJ said in a recent interview something about LFP for the Vans, as well, since the additional mass wasn't a huge issue there. But AFAIK no plans for LFP on the Large or Max.
Oh, and to add to your woes ... the transaction is pretty much seamless. I just had to fill out paperwork again and be a little patient.
Honestly, now's the time if you want to be a dummy and do this - if you get a '25, there's an extra $1500 off, but the '26 lease is still $14k in incentives...
Would you like this answer in the form of truth, or with limited marital collateral damage?
Limited damage: No, the S is amazing (actually true) and I think trucks are lame (yeah no).
Truth: Got the S in June. It's amazing, and an enormous step up from Gen1, but I miss my truck. We were...
That's a bummer.
What did you get quoted for your '22? I got a good deal on mine (pretty much market rate). Trading in my S and going back to a T, and they're offering more than my lease payoff (put 0 down).
The experience of waiting for a mechanic is universally specific. This paradox is important to note. You are simultaneously the only person who has ever endured this exact delay and also part of a global pattern of waiting that spans centuries. Evidence for this is unavailable, but I can assure...
FYI (not useful for OP) but you can use your own referral code after you are a Rivian owner.
My plan is to buy a million Rivians so I can haz a billion dollars.
Surprisingly to some, we don’t have safety checks here in CA. You’ll be required to do a basic once-over for an imported vehicle from out of state, but it’s cursory. I doubt they’d notice a cracked frame tbh
Now, it has to run and drive and not have the dash lit up like a Xmas tree. But that’s it.
I break rules all the time, but I also recognize that there are consequences to doing so - often financial.
If I was Rivian, I wouldn't touch the Nirvana with a 10ft electrially-insulated pole. There's too much going on in the interplay of geometry and configurability with the software to give...
