When I buy something new, 🆕 want it to look brand new…no bumps, nicks, punctures, not even dirt!! That’s not being demanding. Then all the other issues??? Nah you were more than patient.
Thank you for taking the time to detail your experience. It saddens me that you had such an awful experience, compounded by the very poor -- in my opinion -- customer service. Some VP at Rivian should reach out to you for a "lessons learned" session. You obviously pay attention to details...
I go to Italy every three months for three months at a time. I don’t worry about charging. It uses about 1.4 percent per day. I have a max pack. If it gets too low I have someone plug it in or take it to get charged.
I just installed an iKamper Mini 3.0 on my R1T yesterday. I was thinking that I would rent it when not using it. But, alas, I’m on the east coast, so that doesn’t help you a bit.
I look forward to trying this when I get back home in a few weeks. Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried a few things, to no avail.
BTW....your link has some extra things before the "www". Here's a good link: http://www.homelinkestore.com/Products/HomeLink-Compatibility-Bridge-Kit.html
Even if it's covered by insurance and is free, you still have to go through the hassle of making an appointment(s) to get it replaced and recalibrated.
I paid $550 to have my windshield coated with ExoShield. It's my understanding that this product is a film that is a thick material similar...
Yes, TexasBob, I had the xpel windshield protection film installed on my R1T almost immediately after getting the truck...along with an entire wrap. I did a 4-month, 31,000 mile trip around the US in 2024. The windshield was hit several times with no cracking or breaks. One guy said to me...
Given the overwhelming complexities of starting a brand new company, I think I'll give Rivian some wiggle room and not hold them to every single "promise" they made. As time goes on, they will refine a lot of things and will learn what they can and cannot market. Having drove 31,000 miles last...
Yeah, I used to work as an adjuster. I do understand policies. Fortunately I got the best price on a R1T since I put my deposit down in February of 2020. So I'm fine financially...I think/hope. The real issue is the hassle of going through the process.
I paid $500 to put a ceramic coating...
I've never worried about getting into an accident with any other vehicle. Now I fret about it all of the time...not because of my driving but because of others. I fear this exact scenario: I get hit, not my fault, but it costs me a ton of $$$.
The ironic thing is the release notes say "Fixed a rare issue which prevented software updates from fully downloading even in areas with good connectivity."
Try setting a destination in your navigation for a charging station that's close enough that the battery will start preconditioning. I'm curious if that would accomplish what you desire. It would be a pain to have to do that each day, but it should work....right?
A friend and I drove to all 48 state capitals covering more than 31,000 miles in April, May, June, and July. It was an EPIC trip!! (We also flew LA to Honolulu and Seattle to Juneau to complete all 50 in one trip. :) )
As many of you may know, it's next to impossible to get the headrests off of the back seats.
I have an R1T, and I swore my grandkids would never ride in the truck. Ha. Hey, it lasted a year.
Anyway, when I went to install the car seats, I found it impossible to get the back headrest to...
