That's a great update (almost)! I called the service center on Saturday just to see if it had arrived already, based on being such a low VIN, with others already having delivery. They deferred me to my Guide, who is on leave until the 14th, so his backup just called, but I missed it...
This is encouraging, though it seems strange they'd have the cargo liner in 6-8 weeks, but they still don't have the Rivian R1T listed on their site for offering any mats/options after months of production.
Side note: I emailed CanvasBack to see when they might have something for the R1S. I...
One potential thing going for you, is that it's the end of the QTR, and if your R1S arrives via rail in time for prep, they might staff up and push to get it delivered in this QTR's numbers. But, my Guide said it can take 6 - 8 weeks to get to El Segundo and ready for delivery.
What rate did you get? My credit union best is 3.89% 75 months, with rates expected to go up again. Terrible, but they have historically been the best so guessing rates are all very high right now like everything else.
Still at the factory awaiting rail transport to El Segundo. 6-8 weeks to delivery is the latest update.
EDIT: It's on the train making it's way to El Segundo. ETA - TBD.
That's why I ended up adding it... resale of the car I'm about to sell. That, and also having the new IRA detail as law knowing I'm good taking delivery in 2022 and being over $80k. $2k with the A/T's makes sense. But I was going to potentially lose the $7500 credit and the $2k. Not worth that.
Congrats, and you’re a star!
