So CS is clueless or lying once again. Spoke to them yesterday. "We currently don't have any delays with Ocean Coast." So much for the transparent communication. Oh well...
What dual motor? It's vapor at this point. Horsepower? Range? They don't have a clue. And delivery. Shit, they can't even deliver the truck they have now. And if you think the price won't go up dramatically if 2 to 3 more years (if they can deliver it by then)...
So to all of you who said I was being negative a few days ago and to keep it out of this thread...how do you like me now. 20% price increase and I've been a preorder customer for 3 years. Lame!
Sorry to sour the vibe. No disrespect to anyone here. I am glad people are optimistic. I think we will all get our Rivian's and be happy then, but their communication has not gotten any better since RJ said it would. Oh and baseless conspiracy theories...please.
Of course they are keeping us in the dark on purpose. They are not going to tell us 2 weeks before the March 10th call that they are behind again. And as they are not mass produced yet and we are all supposed to get individualized attention from our guides, then they should talk to us.
Please. Our guides were also supposed to contact all preorder customers by Thanksgiving...wait...end of November...wait...Soon. The "Our Guide team blah blah..." seems to be not very busy. If it is that easy yo "walk right over" then maybe they should walk right over to CS and give them a little...
By Rivian. They 100% know...right now...if they are going to be able to deliver to the March-April "cohort". Telling one person on the Forum 4-6 weeks means the rest of us are SOL (for now).
So, there are hundreds and hundreds of us waiting for trucks and one of us gets a call. "your truck is getting built...let me run down and take a look for it"...come on...that is not how this works.
We are each going to get a call? "Hey Josh, they are working on your truck. Bill and Sally are...
Seven days until March 1st. I was told I would be able to get my wall charger early. Not a peep from. Has anyone with the March-April window heard from Rivian? I am at 3 years since deposit tomorrow (2/23/2019). seems like it's time to get my truck. Venting and curious.

They are purchased from https://www.goodboypaddlesports.com/home/. These racks are quite well regarded in the outrigger/surfski community. They are well made and the guy who makes them is super helpful. It seems like the attachment may need to be modified, but these things are awesome!
A Rack like this on the rooftop crossbars will be fine for most canoes and kayaks. This boat is 21 feet long and the crossbar spread on my Acura is less than the spread on the roof of the R1T. I have driven thousands of miles with this set up, so it shouldn't be a problem.
In scrolling through this, nobody seems to have a "confirmed delivery date." I have a March -April window, but still no date. Spoke to CS about when I would get a guide contact and they said "when you get closer to delivery." I would think that 3 months from the end of April is "close." I also...
I was told in no uncertain terms in September that I would hear from my Guide by Thanksgiving. Got my mass email. No dedicated Guide. Guess they were full of shit again!
"Every Rivian preorder holder will be paired with a dedicated Rivian Guide who will serve as your single point of contact...
There has been a lot of talk about the Tonneau cover on the R1T and the problems that it may or may not be having. I have heard the following directly from Rivian employees over the last couple of weeks (not third hand...directly from Rivian to me):
"It works perfectly...no issues"
"Yeah, I...
