I received my plates and registration directly from the State of Illinois yesterday. It was only about 6 weeks after taking delivery of the truck. I guess with the factory in Illinois, they don't need to use a 3rd party. I'm still waiting on the title.
The rear motors and suspension components are under the area in front of the spare tire. The battery is under the passenger compartment. Here are some pictures from the skateboard platform at the factory delivery center.
I think that it's a Forest Edge interior but the dark lighting makes it look like Black Mountain.
But wow, that would be a beautiful combo to use FE wood with BM !
I found a handy little canvas bag that fits the center console storage bin. It has a couple of pockets and a strap. It works great for the small stuff that would otherwise be hard to get out.
After a 3 1/2 years wait, we took delivery at the factory today. It was worth the wait and I'm extremely happy with my new R1T ! It still seems a little surreal.
We got a brief tour of the factory and saw lots of R1T's coming off the line, three of which were yellow. There was one LG R1S in...
I went online and noticed the 8 step process was open, so after completing the 1st two steps, I was waiting to see what they would give for a trade in. I got a call from my guide and he said I had the option of picking up at the factory, since I live an hour away. I said that would be great, so...
I got a call from my guide yesterday and the 8 step process opened for me. I asked if I could pickup at the factory, since I'm only an hour away. He scheduled a factory pickup for next Monday !
Adding to the logistics problems is the shortage of truck drivers. A lot of the trucking companies are offering $100,000 salaries for drivers. I think they should ship by train for the longer distances, like the west coast.
I'm at the end of my delivery window and unless they move quickly tomorrow, it looks like it's going to slip into May. When I had the first call with my guide on March 10, he said it will move forward when they assign a VIN and it could happen quickly, but worst case it would be end of May. I...
I feel your pain ! My wife and I would kill each other if we had to share one vehicle :punch:, though I would be on the losing end, since I can work from home, while she has to drive to multiple locations for her job.
It's been very frustrating for me as well. We are both early preorders who...
Finally, some progress ! I just got a call from my guide (2nd call) to confirm (again) my configuration. I received the PBA within a few minutes after talking with him.
Now I'm waiting for the 8 step process to show up in my account.
