  1. Rivian API

I am so excited to be able to revisit this thread now that I have a vehicle to pick up tomorrow. I could even poll for the orders today and find the last charge session before pickup. Thanks for doing some of the legwork for all of us!
  2. Bricked - Driving Disabled – Service park brake system

I’m definitely looking at my issue as better now than after I take delivery and get farther away. I am very hopeful for a 100,000 mostly issue-free miles ahead! Can’t wait to pick up tomorrow!
  3. Bricked - Driving Disabled – Service park brake system

Sorry to hear this. It really would be nice to hear from Rivian how many of these types of issues are occurring. We almost need a "check-in" type of system to have every owner check in daily with any issues or anomalies. I didn't think there could be many issues in real life until I went to...
  4. Road Trip: Boulder to Steamboat, and Beyond (as Gear Support Vehicle)

Nice load packed up! I was in Steamboat last week watching the Rivian pass by while waiting patiently for an R1S delivery last Friday (pushed to tomorrow now due to sw issue). Agree the Kum&Go ChargePoint wasn’t bad. I loaned our Tesla CCS adapter to a fellow Tesla that only had the j1772 one...
  5. Warning: Do not close your frunk by hand!

Same lightweight material with the Teslas. It freaks me out every time I have to close the frunk and have to set down what I am holding to do it. This is from the Tesla user manual.
  6. Thank You to All R1S Owners Before Me!

Same with our 2022 Model 3. It can get pretty darn loud, especially from outside the vehicle when parking. But it cools down well and no vibrations inside. 4 more days to find out on the R1S!
  7. Colorado Crew - Frisco EA Charger worthwhile or worthless?

If you haven’t seen it, @rateyourcharge is a good place to post experiences at chargers. https://twitter.com/rateyourcharge?s=21&t=QPEG-jyzzIjh2LXsq0XAfg
  8. Thank You to All R1S Owners Before Me!

Great to hear this! Do you have a list of things you checked on? I pick up this coming Friday. Right now my list is: Dent under the door handles Any doors, frunk or tailgate rubbing paint on paint Steering alignment Obvious panel gaps (also a model 3 owner and love it! - no issues with it) AC...
  9. Don’t you just love the Rivian delivery process…….

The process could be improved significantly. Perhaps to reach 50,000 deliveries this year, it is not as important on the list of things "todo." I'm in a similar boat. I had a VIN assigned in June 2023 and today still no estimate on when I need to be prepared to accept delivery. I will share my...
  10. latest VIN for R1S

It is too difficult to track the deliveries and how each one progresses. I feel like I am always reading way too much into it and coming to my own assumptions, which is bad. I started my 8-step process on June 23, 2023, with an R1S VIN 11xxx. My original estimate was August-September. After 4...
  11. Colorado 4/5 22" Sport Dark Wheels/Tires

This is so tempting to have a set for winter tires.. but I don't have an R1S yet - still in the 8 step process.
  12. Should I get the underbody shield on a quad motor now that the dual motor exists?

My view from living in Colorado is: the most important part to the vehicle is the battery pack. These things can and will go a lot of places. I want the lowest chance of something jumping on the road, running over it, and causing damage to the pack. I want to keep the vehicle on the road for as...
  13. New R1S bricked

Thanks for posting the video! I had not seen this one from Monro and I learned a lot about the design. I feel a little better now that an R1S may be arriving for me in the next couple of weeks.
  14. Delivery updates coming on July 15

Do you have a VIN already? I received one last week but waiting on the window to be opened for delivery.
  15. R1S - 2 weeks - different perspective, same conclusion (it rocks)

Thanks for this! We haven’t had much hot weather in Denver until recently. I’m very curious how the AC sorts out for you. A glass roof gets warm here (model 3) and good AC is needed to offset that. I'm starting my 8 steps now. Im only a little bit scared.
  16. Tesla Supercharger Shooting - Edgewater, CO (Denver Metro)

No matter the location, this type of event happening more frequently is a huge concern for society. This isn't the Wild West, or is it? It just makes me so sad when things like this happen and there is no good reason for it if someone's life wasn't in immediate danger.
  17. Tesla Slashes Prices Again - $39,900 M3, $49,900 MY Long Range

I must say this came as a surprise to me this morning. My speculation is Tesla is targeting as many buyers that qualify for the tax rebate as possible. Having completed my First Mile drive just this past weekend in an R1S, the price drop alone is a compelling reason to consider a Model Y. It...
  18. First Towing Test in my R1T

Thanks for the post and the info from @Thedude on Colorado. I'm' R1S reservation and have a Jayco X20D trailer to take all around Colorado. I am very curious how the regen will work on the hills around here. Question: does the auto-hold work with the trailer attached? If you are stopped on an...
  19. CarPlay discussion with Rivian CS: company is working with Apple and it's a priority

When the CarPlay discussions came up last year, I wasn't really thinking about it. I never had it and I usually just listen to Bluetooth music in the car. Then, with the R1S delivery being unpredictable and a teen that hit a deer (they are ok, just the vehicle was damaged), we picked up a 2020...
  20. Delivery Estimate Updates Are Out! ⏱️ [as of Jan 31, 2022]

Login and in the browser go into the Developer tools (command+option+I mostly). On the network tab of dev tools, search for "graph" and you will see a listing. Select each one and when you find the one with data, user, order details, etc in the output, look for the estimatedDeliverywindow section.
