Perhaps a different issue, but I recently had an issue where my R1S would not automatically lock or unlock when I was leaving or approaching the vehicle. Rivian service was very helpful. Initially, we did a soft "reset" (forget what this is called) using the outer buttons on the steering wheel...
In the past, I've also had to toggle off Media (or Audio) in the Bluetooth settings so that Waze alerts are played by the phone and not through the car (which you will not hear if listening to the radio, Spotify, etc.). Just leave the Bluetooth setting for Calls turned on.
Regarding extension cords, here's another option that might be available soon. I like that it's CCS, but don't see myself throwing $700 at this problem. The 10-foot length is no doubt driving up cost. If I was to get one, I'd rather pay less for a shorter cable that takes up less space (and back...
+1 on the experience in Gaithersburg AND SO MANY RIVIANS. I dropped of my R1S Thursday morning... Coincidentally for the same tailgate popping sound. My service associate said he had seen this issue before. Ha! I definitely felt like I was getting white glove treatment. I ended up with a Kia EV6...
I was at the Gaithersburg, MD SC this morning and commented on how full the lot was. He said most were awaiting delivery... That was a relief that they weren't all ahead of me for service.
If you're taking delivery in Gaithersburg, it might be one of these.
I searched endlessly for one that was UL certified, but couldn't find one.
Ultimately, I ended up getting this one on Amazon. I'm not using it daily... Just a reasonably priced backup with good reviews. Correct or not, having one that supports 80A gives me peace of mind that there won't be...
Thanks for this! When we finally get Tesla adapters, would we no longer need this Level 2 adapter? From the pictures on PlugShare (plug filter option), the Tesla Fast plug and regular plug look the same. Also seems like NACS is NACS.
I dipped a tire onto the grass the other day backing out of my driveway after the video froze. Seems like a potential safety issue... Hope that's fixed for good now.
Thank you for sharing! I've been picturing this solution in my head for months and hoped there was a possibility it would work. I'd much rather go with this approach than hoist sheet goods onto the roof rack and secure it.
I wonder if some rollers on the risers might make it easier to load and...
I had much better luck with communicating via TXT message and had different people on the guide team responding. (I only had one name and didn't realize they had staff.)
I've observed the same with cold feet. It's even worse when passenger has the temp below 69 on the other side, apparently running heat and AC at the same time. Another annoyance is that the center vents are not on by default. Overall, heating has been disappointing but bearable.
Same. Only had my R1S a few weeks, but noticed this issue this morning for the first time. Nearly ran off the driveway because I was actively using the back up guide.
I went into the Spotify settings and changed the quality from Auto to High. (The settings page clearly wasn't optimized for the large display and the dropdown with options was oddly in the lower right corner.) If I recall, it didn't sound better at first, but did after choosing a new playlist.
