Mine is also installing now. Donāt care a lick about texting. Not Jonesing over CarPlay. But, damn it, they better have fixed the Trip Meter micro font issue. Seriously, thatās all I want. Seems like a small (no pun intended) ask š¤
Oh, yeah. Any improvement to the 12v battery management is...
Iām missing something. Does this have to be installed directly on the Comma 4 itself, as I do not see this option anywhere else - SunnyPilot, Sunnylink, etc.
Hold āer Newt, I just got a notice from Rivian that the latest, greatest software update is ready to install on my rig. Iāll have to get...
Okay. Iāve been experimenting with a few different models from Sunnylink. So far, North Nevada V2 is the best, for me, followed by Down to Ride. Some have recommended WMI V12. I have tried it twice and it was not good, at all. I have been trying to find the Uncle Toniās Adventure Pilot to give...
I have the Dueler A/T Ascent LT275/65-R20ās on my ā23 R1T QM. Only have about 4K miles on them so far, but am very happy with them. Yeah, theyāre a little heavier than the SLās, but not bad for an LT tire. It really doesnāt make much performance difference. I wanted the extra durability of the...
Where did you find Uncle Tonyās fork? Iām been using North Nevada V2 from the Sunnylink site on my Comma 4 with no Lukas upgrade. Itās the best Iāve tried, so far, on sweeping turns. But, Iāll always be looking for better, given the limitation of the torque steering.
$520 better?! Dunno...
For me, WMI 12 drove right onto the shoulder on unmarked road corners. It just didnāt stay in its lane well enough. Itās odd that different folks have different experiences, even with basically the same Rivian. Northern Nevada is definitely the best Iāve tried at handling corners smoothly. Donāt...
On another note, I had been using the Down to Ride model with the Comma 4 on my Gen 1 R1T. It was mostly good, but failed on a lot of sweeping type turns. The other day, I downloaded the Northern Nevada Model V2. While not perfect, it is significantly better than Down to Ride at handling these...
They often make subtle changes without documenting them in their notes. For instance, they didnāt announce the reduction of the trip meter fonts in that last update. It just happened. HOPEFULLY, they will correct this and revert to the original, much more legible font size with this next...
With a Gen 1 R1T, I donāt expect a whole lot in the way of significant updates, although this last one was pretty good - finally seemed to fix the A/C settings memory, Launch Mode, Sport Mode settings, etc.
But, it is annoying when they mess up a good thing or fix something that aināt broke...
Yeah, lots of charging options along 395 all the way from SoCal to Reno. A Tesla charger just opened on 395 in Minden. NV. Now, if somebody would just stick a DCFC on highway 50 between Carson City and Ely, like around Middlegate or Austin, that would be awesome. It would open up eastern Nevada.
While I donāt have huge hands, I do wear size L gloves, and I was able to get the job done. There are tricks that help with access. In my case, I was able to get the harness connector inserted into the AXM, without actually getting my hand all the way back in there. In a previous post, I...
Mine has been set and reset, for other reasons, since the addition of Launch mode. So, I donāt think resets are going to have much effect in my case. I might give it another try next week, but I donāt need to burn up my tires. Suffice to say, it is stupid fast!!
Same problem here. I went out to give Launah Mode a run in my ā23 R1T QM. Did three runs, but got no 0-60 times. I was pulling about .95 gās. Whatās the deal with that? One time, it showed my max speed was only 38 mph. Really?! Pretty sure I saw over 70 before I shut it down. Did you ever...
FWIW, I recently installed a Comma 4 on my ā23 R1T. I have to say, Iām very impressed with how that little sucker performs. It is rock solid on normal streets and highways - tracks shockingly well (better than I could) and instills real confidence. I even tested it on some dirt trails and it...
Most of the install is pretty straight forward, nothing too technical, but does take some time. The hard part is connecting to the AXM. For this installation, I found a few things that helped me. I spent multiple hours trying to get the darn harness plug inserted into the AXM slot. My left hand...
Iām beginning to sense that, but would like to get it as close to dialed as possible. I donāt expect perfection. As for the mountain driving issues, Iām in the mountains a lot, all year round. I enjoy driving myself, hands on (Sport Mode š¤Ŗ). I agree, Comma is a chill ride, indeed. It seems to...
