I lease mine and always home charge to 95%. No degradation at 2 years 22,000 miles. The only drawback that I would remind people about is the loss of regenerative braking when filling battery to capacity. I'm really accustomed to not touching the brakes so beware.
Great long term evaluation! Thanks for sharing that. I agree, as a car guy who's always looking for my next vehicle, there isn't anything that piques my interest. Mu wife's Cayenne S feels like a slug and I don't think you could find anything as good for twice the price.
As a current Cayenne S owner and a RS1 I don't understand how you could come to this assessment. Unless I'm doing a 200+ mile drive I'm taking the Rivian 100% of the time. Now maybe it's because living in Florida we're blessed with some of the best roads in the country but even over speed...
The latest version of Tesla FSD is incredible! I don't understand how you could say that unless you haven't used it in over a year. I'm happy to pay an extra $3600 over the 3 year lease of my car for the convenience of hands free driving on long trips. I hope Rivian's system is as good.
I have a Cayenne S for my wife. I used to think it was the ultimate. Now I hate driving it in the city.It feels like such a slug. I have to admit that the Cayenne dominates highway driving though. You can cruise at 90+ at 24 mpg for 6+ hours if you want. It still our long haul option.
I just replaced my Scorpions with Bridgstone Dueler A/T Ascent. Huge difference in ride and noise. 60,000 mile warranty from Costco. $1500 for the swap. No idea what the warranty actually covers though, I can't see how anything would last 60,000 on a Quad motor setup
I bought this too. I rate it 5/5. It fit perfectly and went in pretty quickly. Mine fit like yours until I furred out how the clips should go and futzed around with it a bit. Yours looks correct to me so I'm not sure why you have gaps like that. Instructions were very vague to say the least...
Tough choice between supporting China and its bullying policies vs US and its current bullying policies. I'd wager that the US is the better choice just based on human rights issues but I imagine there are a few people who would argue that too. How about a GM product? Kind of a Canadian product...
Having lived in California, New York, Boston, Chicago and now Florida I can tell you that when those aggressive New York and Californian drivers are on vacation they manage to level up by the adding not knowing where they're going. Miami in particular is astounding. No signals and triple digit...
I'm on my 3rd Rivian and have had service exclusively at the Miami center. It's not what I'd call a high end location but the service has been flawless in the 3 times I've needed maintenance. That's 50,000 combined miles and way better than the 2 month wait time I have at Naples Porsche,
