  1. ⚠️ Rivian Recall: insufficiently torqued front upper control arm & steering knuckle fastener [official torque value = 90 lb-ft / 122 Nm]

Are you certain those photos are authentic and those wheel incidents even associated with the nut in question? I've seen 2 articles already stating that Rivian is now doomed which just goes to show how asinine the media can be.
  2. Who's ready to test their Rivian in Hurricane Ian?

Been raining all day, the calm before the storm..the track keeps changing further east. I'ts now looking like Ft.Myers/Sanibel is ground zero. We just got an evacuation notice.
  3. Who's ready to test their Rivian in Hurricane Ian?

They're calling for 5-8' of storm surge. I'm on a canal just off Naples Bay. This could get ugly. My house is at 8'
  4. Who's ready to test their Rivian in Hurricane Ian?

It's supposed to be good for 42". I hope I don't need to find out driving down my street!
  5. Who's ready to test their Rivian in Hurricane Ian?

I'm a little nervous about the approaching hurricane. This is the 4th one I've been through and the first one without a Wrangler. Here's hoping the R1T remains as good as it's been. We're in Naples, just below the cone of probability. I know we'll have flooding but hoping the storm surge is...
  6. They hit me in my driveway resulting in $21,195.95 repair bill

My buddy just paid $7,800 to repair a 2 inch puncture in the bed of his 2019 F250. Had to replace the entire bed repaint as and re Rhino line. Aluminum is a double edged sword
  7. Broken tonneau, cracked roofs, pooling water, keys not working....taking delivery now seems like a joke.

My truck has been perfect. No idea what this rant is all about. Sounds like a customer I wouldn’t want
  8. Extremely Picky Owner Reviews R1T @ 699 Miles

Likewise, no wristband yet. Otherwise the truck has outperformed my expectations and has been flawless for my first 2 months of ownership. Fingers crossed that it will be as bulletproof as my Porsche.
  9. Underbody protection and cautionary off-road experience in a R1T

I think Rivian is caught in a small conundrum with the design of those 20" wheels. Deep dish sacrifices aero but convex causes curb rash.
  10. Has Rivian lost the battle AND the war?

Please re-read. No conclusive statement. I did say that I’m thinking it will be a bargain. Hard to definitively say as I have not driven one yet.
  11. Has Rivian lost the battle AND the war?

As a fellow Porschephile and general automotive freak I have to agree that Rivian has experienced a few teething problems. When I first read about Rivian and they introduced the R1T I had never seen such a well conceived vehicle that checked so many boxes. Long range, incredible performance on...
  12. Has Rivian lost the battle AND the war?

Couldn’t agree more! MB and Range Rover just too soft and wallowing. I tried to love a GLS and an X7 but ended up with another Cayenne S. Porsche seems to have the suspension sorted out in a Goldilocks just right sense. From what I’ve read, the Rivian suspension is on par with the Cayenne. Hope...
  13. Has Rivian lost the battle AND the war?

I think it’s pretty premature to determine if the R1S is outclassed in luxury having not driven one or even read a respectable review. The suspension system is 2nd to none (including Porsche), the off road abilities are on par with a Wrangler and Range Rover and likely exceeding anything else...
  14. R1T Water Fording / Wading Action

    There's a bridge literally 20 feet away....
  15. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

After a 3 year wait with deposits on both an R1S and R1T I am out. This is not how you treat your customers.
  16. GLACIER WHITE R1T Photos

Probably the safest place to park. These are people who actually take the time to return their carts and don't just leave them to roll around the lot.
