I lost one of the Rivian keys for my Rivian rack and tried unsuccessfully to obtain another one from Rivian. And yes, I did also try Yakima. Rivian said: ”you have to buy new cores and keys”. Ended up going to a locksmith who made a duplicate. The blank that does work ( non yakima) is code ILCO...

Real Wood expands and contracts. Since it is not a crack and simply a seam, so to speak then …hopefully, the finish Rivian used will prevent further wood movement in hot and cold environment of the R1T. Wood putty works wonders if it really bothers you.
