'Like' this post if you want Rivian to give us regular cruise control when adaptive cruise control isn't available (like glare on the lense, sensors dirty from the truck that just went through a puddle in front of you, etc).
I have the 21s and just did the swap earlier this week. At Discount Tire. I got 19k miles from my original Pirellis and then another 19k from my second set of Pirellis so decided to try the other option. So far (about 200 miles into the Michelins) I can't tell a difference. Ride is good...
I should have noted in my first reply. The efficiency window in the driver's displayed shows a number and a line. The line does NOT go above 4.0, like @kevinhanff said. The number in that display previously showed no higher than 4, however, since installing 2025.06, my display now shows the...
I'm bothered by some of the information in this post. For what it's worth...
A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is a unit of energy equal to 3.6 megajoules (MJ).
A U.S. gallon of gasoline, although not technically a unit of energy, contains about 120 MJ, thus expressing the energy in a gallon of gasoline...
Prettiest drive, in my experience, is through southern Colorado (50). Regardless, depending on WHEN you're going to travel you're going to have to cross the Rockies. If you do that in Colorado, I agree, with COMtnEV, keep COtrip.org as a favorite to keep ahead of road closures.
In my opinion, once you figure out what you are trying to do with your system (lower your bill, lower your GHG footprint, off-grid, storm backup, etc.), the challenge is to piece that solution together. You'd need to decide if you Frankenstein (best components) or buy as much as...
Good to hear but since there's hardware investments to make use of this V2H capability, the sooner we hear, the better. We need to know what the R1s will integrate with, as many of us already own much of the needed hardware in our existing solar-storage solutions.
Hope you're listening, Rivian.
OP - FWIW - I went through the same thing you're dealing with when my R1T was backed into (I'm in Colorado so not much input on auto body shops for you). But, the other half of the repair process is getting a rental car. Not sure you need a rental car, but when I was told 4-6 weeks for the...
Regular Cruise Control is what it does when towing - Adaptive Cruise Control is not available when towing. When not towing, aka the other 99% of the time most people are driving the vehicle, the vehicle uses Adaptive Cruise Control or, when that's not available for whatever reason, nothing.
